And... just like that, Grace had a phone number.
Technically, she supposed she could have just called the gym, but that wasn't quite as personal somehow. Also, there was the whole Hellcat issue, which Grace was sure was going to be an issue of monumental proportions even without just calling the gym. No, a personal number was definitely better.
Also, Oni-Girl... Carmen? Was Grace supposed to call her Carmen now? Anyway, Oni-Girl-Carmen had written it herself, and Grace was having a moment of inward squee about that before deciding to do the sensible thing, tear off a blank strip of the paper, and write down her own number as well. Communication lines open.
That was good, right? "Absolutely serious. Also I have as much experience with, uh, this as I do with the sword thing, so... um... I'm kind of winging it here. Want to come over, um... Thursday? I'm off Thursday. We can... I don't know, watch really bad movies and even worse anime. And I will absolutely sing along with the theme songs. Phonetically. I don't know what any of the words mean." Possibly this would all just convince Oni-Girl that Grace was a walking disaster and it was best to run away, but maybe it was best to get that over with earlier.
"Anyway. Swords. Um..." Hers was there, she just had to reach for it. Was that really... safe, though? Also, if she walked in here as Grace Lanius, Devil's Brew Delivery Crew, and then suddenly that incompetent swordlady from the concert was hanging out, there were going to be some smart people somewhere figuring things out. Also, this place probably had security cameras.
"How about... I walk out of here like a normal person, and then meet you outside. As, um... you know. The other version."
