“Up on the western peak? No, I don’t think I’ve been up that way.” Misaki leaned back against the wall as she looked up at the sky. Faint wispy clouds drifted in summer’s breeze. “Ah, was there? If that’s the case it would be worth checking out.” She paused again as she listened. Students walked past her, each lost in their own conversation.
“Mm, no, it shouldn’t be any major problem, it's not that far outside the gates.” She sighed, running her fingers through her hair. ”Though, if it’s that area I’ll have to go to the liquor store for a particular brand, what a pain. Ah, thanks for the tip though~ I really appreciate it.” She laughed.
“Mm, mm. I’ve got to run, thanks for all your help.Text me.”
Misaki pulled her phone from her ear, her lips curving into a faint smile as she looked down at the screen and tapped to end the call. She dropped her phone into the pocket of her skirt as she pushed off the pillar. It was exciting to have some new leads to chase after, even when she knew that she wouldn’t have the time to chase after it. She’d need to find a day she wouldn’t be tied up with DDC engagements and well no longer had this group project hanging over her head.
One thing at a time, then she could have her fun, right?
Misaki passed through the entrance of the student center and followed the flow of people heading towards the food court. Her bright eyes scanned tables as she passed, looking for a familiar face. Well, maybe not super familiar, the other girl seemed like she was the type that liked to keep to herself if she could help it, but they were partners for this project so maybe this would give them a chance to get acquainted?
“Ah! Hello!” Misaki said, raising an arm to wave when she caught sight of a familiar face sitting at an otherwise empty table. With a fast stride Misaki made her way over and placed her messenger’s bag down into the table.
“It’s nice to meet you, I am Yunomiya, Misaki.” She held her hand out to the other girl, “so I guess we’ll be partners for this project then?”
