I glanced over at Scramjet, tilting my head a little and squinting my eyes.
"Dude, we get it. You're a government hero. Can you put the badge away for two seconds so this doesn't blow up in our face? Please? All I ask."
I shook my head as I kept crawling. Just perfect. This would go as well, if not better, if I had thought to grab Kore and, I don't know, Metlle or Onigirl or anyone. Heck, I would have better success with Legion and Mettle together with me if this kept up like it did.
"Let's not jump into any sort of plans yet is what I'm saying."
Griffonage decided now was her turn to pipe up, talking about how I did not mention Psi was a telekinetic. I thought I did. Did I not text all the relevant information? Or did I assume because Scramjet was one of the people I contacted and I just forgot to clue in Griffonage? How tired was I that I forgot a critical detail?
Instead, I opted for a different response.
"Would that have changed your mind about coming here?"
It was a good question to ask. Speaking of questions, while Scramjet and Griffonage were slowing and quieting down due to hearing voices up ahead, I had noticed a while back my tracker had went dark. Despite that, my sense had picked up on the voice and heartbeats of two people long before either had done so. Why did I not mention anything? Well, it was simple. These two would slow down while myself with my backpack still strapped to my back would carry on ahead at rather quick pace. I began to shift along the wall and manage to crawl my way onto the ceiling before walking upside down and into where the two individuals were having their lovely discussion, revealing myself entirely in the open. Besides, my suit was red and blue and I was standing up, well, technically down because I was walking on the ceiling upside down. But they would see me here.
With a small salute that I barely managed to pull off without any sort of hesitance or stumbling.
Because there was someone who I had been looking for a while now. Someone who had escaped my notice and who I had been unable to track down due to other pressing problems and issues as well as my my brief break from superheroism.
That girl with the cards. I still had a question for her. Two really.
Oh boy.

Oh boy.
I gave a salute before pointing at the magic girl.
"Two questions before we really get started. First, is your name or codename Fate? No, seriously, I could never tell if it was a wordplay thing or a declaration thing or whatever. Second, what you did you do with the nukes?"
Yeah, I needed a good explanation for that or the psychic would find himself not the center of attention but rather this girl before me. She had magic cards, which was a bit unpredictable if we did happen to fight, but they might have been tarot cards? In that case, there may be a theme with each one and their effects. No matter the case, despite this hiccup, I continued along my plan to mediate some sort of peace between myself and this telekinetic kid.
I took a deep breath before shaking my head and moving my bag around to my front and flipping it around, so when I decided to unzip it, none of the contents would fall out. I began pulling something out. It was a container full of sandwiches. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, all wrapped up.
"Hi, psychic kid. You got a name? 'Cause I got some snacks. PB&J sandwiches with a bottle of OJ. You want some? I figure you could use it."
I glanced left. I glanced right. I shrugged before holding the box of sandwiches out along with the bottle of OJ.
"But it seems you been really busy in that department."
What else was I going to say right then and there?
