The Millenium City University campus really is quite lovely, even if it isn’t Venus’ usual scene. But she isn’t here to appreciate the sights. Oh, no, she is here on a righteous quest.
They have to have good Mexican food somewhere, right? Of course she heard the rumors that there isn’t any good Mexican food in the north, but she never thought it would be this dire. Google keeps trying to direct her to the nearest Chipotle, but she has standards, gosh darn it. Give her a hole-in-the-wall restaurant with people bustling in and out of the kitchens any day.
And where else is better to look for those kinds of restaurants than a college campus? Nevermind that her own yielded no good results.
She’ll admit she got a bit distracted with all the casual heroism on display when she first arrived, but for the most part she’s managed to wander and not look like too much of a tourist. Even if she kind of is. Still, it’s probably obvious to anyone who’s paying attention that she doesn’t have the best idea of where she’s going. Her ‘look around and hope for the best’ approach is… well, she’s still hoping.
Maybe she’s a little too distracted squinting across the street at a row of shops, but she turns back a little too quickly and her messenger bag swings in an arc, accidentally knocking into another pedestrian, a girl roughly her age.
“Oh, I’m so sorry!” Venus is quick to apologize, readjusting her bag nervously as she stops to make sure the blonde girl is alright.
