At 7:46am, on the dot, figures emerged from a Starbucks and made their way down Multon Street.
From a distance, they probably looked like zombies. One was as pale as a corpse with just as much emotion carried in her expression. The other was moaning and struggling to shuffle one foot in front of the next. She may not have been calling for brains, but she seemed rather annoyed by the fact that her paler companion went with an orange juice over a coffee like a madman. To which the pale maiden with violet eyes replied:
It was about a ten minute walk to Smith Inc but, if you asked them, it felt a bit longer. With a yawn, the pale hunter unlocked the door and slowly made her rounds. Turn on the "Open" sign. Get some light up in this bitch. Get that heater going before somebody freezes. Make sure there weren't any religious freaks or demons camping out in the back. Check and see if any of Silvaria's weird magic was acting up. Sweep up if need be. And finally, when it was all said and done.
They could sit down, open their laptops and check for the latest incoming reports.
And just as Chelsea sat down and started to get comfortable at the front desk, Kore walked up and placed a hand on it.

"I'll die before I let myself get addicted to that shit."

"I think I'll watch the front for a half hour, fourty-five minutes or so. That'll give you some time to get ahead. And it'll give me-" a yawn cut through her words, "That'll give me a minute before I start checking in on these inquiries."
"Yes m'am," Chelsea wasn't even going to pretend to be upset at the prospect of not having to deal with clients that came in face-to-face for a bit. With nary a moment of hesitation, she got up and let Kore take her seat at the front; taking her laptop with her as she left, "Though, you know, we could start opening this place up at 9am..."
"Nah, that's- that's a slippery slope," she replied, waving Chelsea off into one of the back rooms, "I agree to that today, and we'd be showing up at noon in like a week."
