MILLENIUM CITY: THE FOLLOWING DAY
Well, to begin with, he was going to drop by Smith Inc. in a surprised visit, so there was no need to call or text saying he couldn't be there on time. Well he did had to reschedule the meeting with the city DA which they accepted the excuse since the developed circumstances, so that was quite a relief. Jacob bought a set of fresh clothes, black suit and tie, a long sleeved white shirt and some nice, pointed suit. And when he appeared through the door, it was in the full, formal getup. He winked and saluted Chelsea who more or less frowned before dismissing him with a wave. Jacob was sure she hated everyone, and him the most.
Of course Kore was in, he could see that through the gaps of the light-screen put up behind the glass walls of her office. But even if he did not see her, he could always rely on his nose to tell that she was there. But she picked up more than just Kore and Chelsea on this visit. There was the smell of someone else, feminine, with their scent all over the place.
"Did you hire someone else since I last saw you baby sis?" He announced his visit by grabbing the door handle and just working in. Fortunately for him, Silvaria hadn't yet thought about putting runes on the door. Fortunate indeed. He'd move to give her a hug briefly before sitting down in a chair in front of her desk. "I can smell something foreign about her. Flakes of desert sand and uh...ink?" He took another whiff of the air, just be sure.
"But anyway, how are things?"
