The Ponds had different approaches when it came to taking care of their new daughter. Marie still gave Lily the love and attention she deserved, even if she did appear a bit more aloof than most mothers would be. Richard, on the other hand, went in the opposite direction. He wanted a son, and he'd be damned if he wasn't going to have one. As soon as she was old enough, he treated Lily as if she was a boy. Yardwork, sports, hunting, fishing, shooting, martial arts: all this and more were pushed onto Lily as Richard pretended she was simply a son who looked a bit different than he wanted.
When puberty rolled around, however, Marie seemed to come to her senses. She realized that Lily would need her mother to help navigate the harsh world of womanhood. In her mind's eye, Lily was a fragile, dainty girl who would go buy dressed with her mother, they'd get afternoon tea, and they'd gossip about boys. Unfortunately for Marie, this version of her daughter did not exist, and hadn't for some time. Richard's influence had gone far deeper than she'd expected, and her daughter would much rather sneak out, raise hell, get drunk, and do much more than gossip about boys.
Lily originally planned on going to college, her impressive martial arts skills landing her a scholarship. However, everything changed on one fateful subway ride. Lily had always tried to be a hero, but vigilante was more the right term. Her powers lent to more physical altercations, resulting in criminals being told "crime doesn't pay" through the universal medium of bodily harm. Lily was very much of the mindset that, as heroes gained prominence, they faced threats that pulled them away from the communities they were supposed to protect, and that everyone should have a chance to gain powers, to defend themselves and the ones they love. So when she heard through various online forums that the Lotus Clan would be hijacking a train, she and her girlfriend, Kira, made sure to be on that train.
This led Lily to join the Lotus Clan, and for a while she was one of their greatest operatives, even assisting in the assassination of the mayor of Las Vegas. However, it all came to a head when she was forced to fight and kill her mentor, Baba Yaga. While she was successful, and managed to keep Baba Yaga from revealing most of the Lotus's secrets, she stil managed to reveal enough that the organization began to collapse. The Lotus decided to go underground, separating and splitting until such a time that they could resurface and hopefully enact their philosophy once more. As a parting gift, the Lotus managed fulfilled two requests: to take away the enhancements they had given her, and to set her up at Millenium University. Essentially, she wanted a life before she'd joined the Lotus, to see what it would have been like. And so they granted it to her. Lily now attends the university, her path shifted back to the course of being a hero rather than somewhat of a villain.
This ability has not been used since the disbandment of the Lotus clan.
Another aspect of this ability is that Lily is able to summon spectral limbs to augment her combat abilities. These limbs can function independently of her natural ones, but can also be layered over the natural ones to amplify the power of her strikes. With enough concentration, she can even summon a spectral duplicate of herself, able to act completely on its own. Any injuries it sustains are not transferred to Lily, however she still feels the pain from them.

Marie and Richard Pond always wanted a son. Marie wanted to have her darling little man, and Richard wanted to have someone he could mold into his own image, to keep the Pond family name going strong. When the two found out that Marie was pregnant, they were ecstatic at the idea of having the son they dreamed of, and the ultrasound results confirmed it: their baby would be a boy. They spent the next 5 months preparing everything: a little closet full of blue baby clothes, a beautiful blue nursery, little baby toys for a little baby boy. And when that little baby finally popped out and the doctor raised it up, the words "It's a girl!" sent all their plans crashing.[attr="style","font-size:40px;"]Background

Before joining the Lotus, Lily was seen as a rebel, a troublemaker, and a degenerate. She's still all of these, but they were tempered somewhat by Lotus teachings. Being in a cult and assassinating political figures at only 19 will do that to you. Since leaving, she's rediscovered more of her old self. Most of her decisions are made with her in mind first and foremost, and anyone she happens to be working with second. All-in-all, she's headstrong and foul-mouthed, usually diving headfirst into trouble, fists at the ready, a string of curses hanging from her lips.[attr="style","font-size:40px;"]Personality

Lily's years spent participating in martial arts and sports, combined with her powers, allow her to strike with greater force, react quicker, move faster, and take more damage than most human beings, pushing these traits to superhuman levels. These increases can be controlled, allowing her to appear normal. However, this takes significant effort on her part, something she'd rather not deal with. Lily is constantly training to improve these abilities, to push them further and further through whatever means she can, often without regards to her own health.[attr="style","font-size:30px;"]Increased Strength, Speed, and Endurance

Lily has spent years studying and practicing martial arts, ever since she was little. She has an inherent knack for them, learning not just the individual moves, but how and why they work the way they do. This allows her to blend together various styles into new and unknown combinations that make her unpredictable in combat. Her powers facilitate this martial fusion, allowing Lily to grasp, learn, and internalize new styles of combat faster than should be possible.[attr="style","font-size:30px;"]Martial Arts

The good thing about transforming your body into a weapon is that you never go anywhere unarmed. Fortunately for Lily, she also has arms. Lily is able to create psychic constructs of various pieces of martial arts weaponry. These weapons feel and hurt just like the real thing, with the only differences being their spectral blue appearance and the ability for Lily to dissipate them whenever she wants. Another minor benefit of this power is that Lily can transform whatever she is wearing into a more heroic outfit, allowing her to blend in before transforming and striking.[attr="style","font-size:30px;"]Psychic Weaponry
