Visitation Day
"Subject 16 - Visitation Day is in effect. Please keep your hands to your sides. Any psker activity will be met with deadly force."
Raising his head, 'Subject 16' - Psi - would just stand up in the white room he was in. Sensory deprivation room, he thought they called it. A room, one shade of white; supposed to limit his powers by stunting his senses into nothing; making him lucid enough for tests to conducted in relative safety. Time passed, for sure... Psi knew it was, and it was the only thing that kept him going. What little control he had with his powers in this room allowed him to use the rice grains they gave him every day making a circle and handles to tick away at the seconds. A clock. It may have been a couple hours off or completely wrong but he knew how long a second was. So each second, the handle made of rice ticked along and he'd watch it for a bit before looking around the room. What he'd do for a can of paint.
Visitation Day though... This never happened, not in the middle of tests. Who wanted to visit him? Who did they call? For once, the clock he had made had stopped ticking - he collected himself and watched the door. What he thought was the door. And he waited. For whoever had decided to visit him. Were they going to help him leave? Another transfer? No, no; he was the only one who confined here. Every room, every hallway - every turn was designed to keep him put.
"Deadly Force. Nothing any of you do will hurt me, and you all know it. Open the door."
Psi said quite openly, uncaring for them as he raised his hand to the door. If it was another scientist, he would be half tempted to pin them against the ground and just walk away. Slowly but surely, he was regaining his strength in this room but he was hiding it. For a moment, he fought with himself more and more before lowering his hand. Not now. He shouldn't over play his hand, use his powers now and there wouldn't be a chance in the future.
He'd tuck his hands in his pocket, and just leaned against the wall waiting... He'd entertain them, for now. It was only a matter of time before he got out of this room.
