RUNE MAGIC Silvaria's magic is based on runes. For every category of spell cast, she has to have the specific rune for that category active in order to cast. For instance, in order to use fire based spells, the fire rune needs to have been set up in advance, in order to draw in fire energy (mana) from the world. These runes can be drawn on her body, carved into flesh or simply tattooed on. When they are active, the runes glow and the specific rune color of mana being exuded signifies the type of spell being cast or about to be cast. She can only have four runes simultaneously active now, and since the sigils take time and concentration to be drawn, she has to do them before embarking on missions. Each rune grants Silvaria a passive enhancement but only one out of four can be active at any given point in time.
Silvaria has access to 10 basic types of runes:
Fire: Enhancement: Increased Strength
Water: Enhancement: Increased Healing / Minor Regen
Arrays are types of spell, that once laid down or drawn on a piece of paper or the ground, or practically anywhere else, doesn't require the sorcerer to do much else except to put her energy into it in order to activate the array. Arrays can be drawn using magic or ink. Magic fades away into the material its been drawn on, only surfacing when a bit of magic is exerted into them. Arrays can be simple, as simple as ones that make everything on a surface float, to one, that when activated, completely transmorphs the structure of the thing it has been put on. Just like a computer program, a magical array's potential is only limited by the one drawing it.
Domain of Shadow: (Cast time: 10 minutes)
It is a simple magic array that takes possession of the shadows around it, and gives Silvaria the ability to manipulate them at will, be it to condense them into spheres, use them as projectiles or use as tendrils to bind opponents. The intensity of the shadows increase by the amount of it there is for the spell to use, and loses its power when the amount of shadow or absence of light decreases.
Sound Cage: (Cast time: 5 minutes)
Once activated, the sound cage erects a barrier, inside of which destructive waves of sound continuously bounce off of its own walls, gaining in intensity over time.
Domain of Gravity: (Cast time: 10 minutes)
When put down, it allows Silvaria to control the affects of gravity in a certain area, giving her the ability to increase or decrease it depending on what she wants.
Secure: (Cast time: 1 month)
A custom array built into the perimeter of her workplace, the Smith Inc. It is meant to keep intruders out, gives its controllers the ability to remove individuals with a snap of their fingers.
