Hope's Garden Therapy Centre.
Before anyone asks, no, Kore didn't have any mental disorders that needed to be treated or anything like that. This was never a place that the devil visited voluntarily. The fact of the matter was, for all its perks, her job came with a few burdens. Maybe obligations was a better word. When you gave someone a license to kill, you expected them to use it to improve the world and take care of themselves, not to abuse it. Reports, results and client feedback could only reveal so much about a person's nature.
Dr. Holt had a good way of examining the rest.
Once every few months, the demon hunter was required, by law, to pay the psychiatrist a visit just to make sure that everything in the old noggin' was working properly... so to speak. Her job wasn't exactly the kind of thing that most people could stomach. It was expected to be an easy job for Alvis, on the other hand, when she came around. And, if he did notice something concerning about her behavior, then he had full authority to schedule more mandatory appointments for her... much to Kore's dismay. But, overall, it wasn't like she hated coming back to this place every now and again. She did stop using the front door to enter the place a long time ago, though. She wasn't overly fond of the looks people gave her when she walked in.
Luckily, nobody in the front lobby was in a place to really make any judgements.
Telepaths like Dr. Alvis used to scare Kore. Not because she doubted her ability to fend off psychic assaults or was lacking in willpower but because, well, her closet was practically brimming with skeletons back then. Nowadays? Man, people weren't kidding when they said that the truth sets you free. Even so, the place still made her a bit nervous whenever she warped in. Even now, as she stepped through the void into the lobby, she paused for a moment to consider if there was anything on her mind that Dr. Holt might find concerning before she made her way to the front desk. Eh, well...
Here goes nothing.
