Legion smirked a bit, finally someone who just understood what he was saying. When one called themselves a god the world of heroes seemed quick to attach a negative connotation to it (even if you said it as plainly as Legion did). Rather than being berated for discussing his existence, Aster continued on as if nothing had happened. As she explained the world of the divine to him he listened intently. Given that he was the only Aspect he knew of that was walking the earth at the moment it was nice to hear what the other members of his species were up to.
"No, unfortunately in order to be complete our hosts souls must relinquish control to us. I simply appear human because it's far less threatening. I also don't believe I could do what I do if I had humanity left over. Their minds break from the violence they commit to protect themselves; mine doesn't. Instead I exist to preserve their right to control this planet, I act in service to their well being-"
He sipped his drink again; perhaps that wasn't the best explanation. He gestured for her to give him a moment and then started speaking again. "Before my hosts soul moved on his mind couldn't handle the weight of our purpose and it ate away at him. My soldiers grew more violent, he grew more unstable, and had he continued to be that way than things would've gotten much worse. The ones who call themselves heroes also suffer the same way. Haunted by their own failures to the point where they'd willingly endanger the lives of thousands just to feel like they were the good guy."
There was a bit of pain in his words. Thinking about it felt alot like watching a loved one destroy themselves while still refusing to get help.
