(Last roleplay by Dreams and myself I swear.)
What would happen if an angel and demon fell in love?
Every 5,000 years Heaven and Hell put aside each of their differences for a night and come together in one large celebration. They call it the Night of Peace, a masquerade ball in which no one knows who anyone else is. There are no angels, no demons, just beings who wish to forget the fight for domination for at least one night before they go back to wanting to rip each others throats out for being different. Yet something about this celebration is somehow different from the ones before, there's an unusual feeling in the air. Perhaps it's excitement, maybe nervousness seeing as this is the first time the Prince of Hell and Princess of Heaven would be attending since their respective births. Maybe it was even magic though the Prince and Princess were the only ones who seemed to sense it. The Prince who was more annoyed by it whereas the Princess was intrigued.
He tried his best to stay away from those who approached him to dance, but then he saw her across the room of mingling forms seemingly trying to do the same. Except she seemed to enjoy being here, something that drew him to her and he found himself gliding across the room with the grace that came with being who he was. His dark gaze trained on hers, unable to see the color clearly from so far away and with a mask on each of their faces it made it rather difficult to make out many of her features. Upon his approach he asked her to dance to which she hesitated, what held her back? Was she afraid? After a moment she accepted his offer, following him to the middle of the floor for she had seen him as well and was just as curious of him. He was interesting, and something about him seemed so familiar though she didn't know what it was. She has seen demons before but here it was difficult to tell who was who for no one particularly acted like themselves.
These thoughts faded as they became lost in the music, dancing as if they had danced a thousand times before. The grace and beauty attracted the attention of others as some stopped what they were doing and simply watched them glide across the room. Neither seemingly noticed as they kept their gazes on one another, feelings they've never felt before rising up in their chests. Was it simple joy and content? Or something more?
Yet what would happen if they followed such feelings? And what would happen if they found out who the other was?
