Okay so this is an idea that I had due to the Korean zombie horror movie #Alive (brilliant movie by the way).
"We'd heard all that was going on in South Korea, it had been all over the news stations. infected people attacking and eating others. A lot of government officials came on the news talking about it was due to botched batch of vaccines and that it was under control. Other's said that it was much worse then they were telling us. Soon videos started showing up on sites showing the horror's going on in South Korea. So after reports came from China, then Russia, India, The Middle East, and before we could even figure the virus made a break here in the States. It started at the airport is Dallas, TX and rapidly spread. The infected were fast and mobbed up quickly, and would climb to get to their prey. Thankfully they seemed rather dumb in a way. After the first week, the surviving people, began to see that noise attracted them. Being out of direct sight of them made them not hunt you. Night was when you would travel, day is when you'd sleep.
It had been a year since the start and I've been alone since the beginning. I live in an apartment and have been able to stockpile food and water. It's...it's safe here for the most part. Not really sure if anyone is out there still or if anyone can hear me, but know there is living out here. I'm Surviving...I'll be on again tomorrow...today is day 374 since the start..."
I set the radio down for the CB and lean back on the couch and looking over to the windows that was covered in papers and magazines. Light from the outside illuminates the pages. I reach over and grab a water bottle and take a drink. The day was just beginning and I had some more work to do so after some food, a can of mini ravioli, I got up and went to the front door and slowly peered out to either side of the walk way. A few infected had tangled themselves in the barbed wire I'd set on one end of the walkway. It didn't take long to clear them, although the act still made me vomit a bit. After that I made sure the defenses were good still and went to the roof to check on the mini-garden I'd made.
Things were growing still, so after watering I went back to the apartment and waited for a call, I wasn't giving up hope that there were more people out there.
Apologies everyone, but I'm putting this thread on Hiatus for the time being as I work on my first novel. Mods if you have to delete this that's fine, just have a lot on my plate with that so I can't see me fully focused on this rp for now.
