An old idea from 2015 that I did with another user, but with a few twists.
The demons won against both angels and humans for control over Earth, and while they weren't exactly interested in keeping many alive, those that have survived are placed into two categories: the Volui (the Wanted, either born to other Volui or have been on the run for six months without capture), and the Servorum/Servus (the Slaves/Slave, either caught, bought at auction, or born into the role), and with only around two thousand humans remaining, it's clear that they're at a disadvantage compared to the demons. Within the last three hundred years or so, a tenth of the remaining female humans have developed about fifty percent extra life force, granting them a scent akin to freshly blooming roses that only demons can smell, a lifespan of about one hundred and fifty years compared to the normal average of about a hundred, and a fifth of those humans have been able to heal others via direct skin contact, resulting in the demons calling them Roses since they begin to bloom at the age of eighteen at the earliest. With the appearance of the Roses, demons have been trying to eliminate the Volui by bringing them into auctions once captured, and any Rose that appears have nearly bankrupted lesser demons in an attempt to buy one, making them a status symbol once they're in a demon's possession. It's been known that only thirty Roses have ever gone to auction, and some others have either been captured or bought privately, making their new owner's status elevate if they can convince the previous one to sell her at the closest price to her worth. After a raid was conducted by a powerful Tengu family on a Volui compound, they discovered that one of the human women they managed to capture was a Rose, but considering they already had one that was born to a Servorum couple, they decided to auction the newly captured Rose off to the highest bidder, drawing the biggest crowd since the first confirmed sighting of a similar human. With this auction, things will change for this Rose and a Dragon, intertwining their lives in unexpected ways upon meeting each other for the first time.
Solas Azael is a Platinum Dragon, a rare type of Dragon that only ever appeared twice before him since his family started to rise in status, and a Dragon is an ever rarer sight at any human auction, normal or Rose. He didn't plan on buying this Rose when he first arrived, but after seeing her on the stage in the unflattering white clothes that slaves wear when being auctioned off, he quickly ends up outbidding everyone as others can't match his winning offer. Even though there are rumors about the Azael family that haven't been confirmed or denied, he makes a deal for the Tengus to help with planning a wedding for him and the Rose to help keep her safer from other demons alongside giving her more freedom than a typical Servus would have, which is unusual considering most demons only used humans for housework or for raising demon children as a Governor or Governess, but they still agree to it as they want to keep an eye on the Dragon to see how he really treats his Servorum, especially one that was a former Volui. He quickly makes an effort to win over the Rose as they prepare for their wedding, though some demons have made an effort to steal her away alongside her own efforts to escape and find the others from her compound that may or may not have escaped the demons. After a few weeks, it quickly becomes clear that he's fond of the Rose, and while she's still trying to find a way to free herself, she can't deny that she's being treated much better by him than by the Tengus or other demons that have attempted to take her away from him. Both of them are forced to keep to old marriage traditions despite how others have already began living together upon their engagement, but it doesn't mean that they can't try anything together that isn't strictly looked down upon by the Tengus. Once they do get married, will the Rose finally stop trying to escape since she has more freedom than her human counterparts thanks to Solas, or will she take a chance and try to use her status to escape for good despite his efforts to prove that he's not like other demons?
