Fate and Fortune
He had always been just a regular young man. Nothing special. He went to work every day, falling into the same routine. He had his own hobbies and friends, of course. He didn't think of his life as dull, but others would consider it as such. It became even more pitiful when a young woman caught his eye. Not just any woman, to his misfortune. She was a member of an extremely well known and rich family. He couldn't possibly catch her attention. And even if he did, why would she be interested in a guy like him?
Everything changed after he went to a fortune teller, hoping the old woman could give him some sort of good news. What the cards had shown, and what she saw in the crystal ball, he would never know. Before she could say anything, she fell out of her seat, dead. The man called for help, but the woman was already gone. He couldn't help but wonder what was so bad about his fate that caused the woman to keel over?
From that moment on, he noticed he was being followed by a girl. It wasn't the one he had his eyes on, though he had to admit she was cute. She seemed to be everywhere he went in public, and struck up a conversation with him a few times. He just didn't like her that much. He couldn't explain why. One time, after managing to escape view of his stalker, he ran into his crush almost quite literally. She apologized, saying that she had just managed to give this other man the slip. Her father had been insisting that she married him, and she wanted nothing to do with him. The two ended up talking and hitting it off...
Much to the anger of the two stalkers watching from the roof of the nearby building.
Ok, I'm having a hard time getting the point across and the idea out. The basis of the story is the two main characters were immortal beings of some sort who cared for each other, reborn in human bodies as some sort of test. Other beings weren't supposed to interfere, but both characters had been pursued by other immortals before they were reborn, and are now set to try to get what they wanted.
The idea is still rough
The Key (A)
A hundred years ago, the human land of Norden had been taken over by monsters. Humans were nearly driven to extinction due to their being no reason to preserve them. Until it was nearly too late. Recently it was discovered that one of the humans held the key to immeasurable power. So monsters started to capture humans, trying to find the Key. This led to humans flooding the slave markets across the land, with slavers hoping to make fortunes on them as high ranking monsters try their luck.
Will the human girl the Monster Prince picks turn out be the Key?
The Key (B)
A hundred years ago, the mythical land of Norden had been taken over by humans. Norden was home to rare and mythical creatures that only existed in legends. Its peaceful inhabitants were nearly driven to extinction due to their being no reason to preserve them. Until it was nearly too late. Recently it was prophecised that one of the creatures held the key to immeasurable power. So the humans started to capture the creatures, trying to find the Key. This led to all manner of creatures flooding the slave markets across the land, with slavers hoping to make fortunes on them as high ranking humans try their luck.
Will the strange girl the Human Prince picks turn out be the Key?
Fallen Star
It was just an average night on the planet Earth. The moon was full and high, and the night life was as usual. Something broke the monotony, though, as a light streaked across the sky, plummeting to the planet with a large crash. Upon investigation of it, a feminine figure could be seen at the bottom of the crater. She seemed to be alive still.
Gold and Steel
Gold. It rules everything- peasant and King alike. It is what dictates who lives and who dies, for everything has a price.
Peasants need it, Nobles are enslaved by it, and everyone wants it.
Steel. It is the only thing that is stronger than gold, though gold guides it. It caries out Gold's wishes, taking the lives bought by it.
It can turn peasants into kings, and paradise into hell.
On the wartorn continent of Agion, Gold guides Steel, and buys power. The King has gone ill, and the noble houses struggle to take what isn't theirs. In the middle of it all, Lord Nightseer tries to maintain order, as they were closest to the king, and trusted enforcers. With their army thinned, The Nightseer mansion is nearly unguarded in these troubled times.
On the wartorn continent of Agion, Gold pays and Steel Obeys.
Protecting Jacob's Family
Jacob was a good man. He had a family who loved him and he was a soldier in the military. His family was told he was killed in action, but that wasn't the whole story.
Jacob was a part of a military experiment with a group of other soldiers, to create super soldiers. They succeeded, and had a fail safe programmed into them. If they felt someone suspected what they were, they would ensure that person was killed to protect the nature of the experiment.
With Jacob's last breath, he asked his best friend, who was also a part of the same project, to look out for his family, and to tell them he loved them.
Unfortunately, the military wasn't going to let him go see to Jacob's final wish. He was a vital experiment. He faked his death, made sure they truly believed he was dead, and went to visit Jacob's family with the intent of protecting them until the end.
A Girl and her Dragon
Being orphaned at a young age, Mari knew nothing more than loneliness and the horrors that came with living at the Wish House Orphanage. Always hungry and always filthy, being adopted out wasn't any better. The people who's care she came under was just as bad, if not worse, than the orphanage. Nothing more than a slave. That is, until she met a real dragon. The dragon was far friendlier than the stories she heard, and this one had the capability of going invisible. Despite not being able to talk normally, she was able to understand it easily. It wasn't long before Mari got the courage to run away with her new dragon friend, going from city to city and avoiding her "family". They reached their most recent city, hoping that they could finally settle down. It's hard to do that with a dragon, though, so she's got her work cut out.
Little did she know, though, that the dragon had secrets of its own... secrets that included herself. The dragon hadn't chosen to follow her and help her just because she needed it. It was because she isn't exactly what she seemed, and it wasn't either.
I can have this fleshed out more if anyone gets interest, as well as going into detail. I'm not sure what time period it should be, so that's something that can be talked about.
Kidnapped?
The kingdoms of Aunduriel and Zashiden have been at peace for hundreds of years. Both nations prospered and traded with one another. Until the most recent king of Zashiden. Unlike his father before him, he was greedy and only wanted more power. His target was Aunduriel, who was in possession of Opal mines. Opals were a mineral that rivaled dragonscale, and was used for not only the military, but buildings and jewelry as well.
The king knew that starting a war was foolish. The resource he coveted would see to his failure. So he decided to send his son in, to steal something even more precious to the king of Aunduriel.
His daughter.
Of course, the prince wanted nothing to do with the kidnapping. He felt his father was wrong on all levels. But he couldn't disobey him. So he decided to go through with his father's plan, and hoped he would come up with a better plan of his own, before he returned to the Castle.
On the other hand, the princess was bored with her perfect little peaceful life. The same lessons every day, learning to be a proper princess, it was all dull. She wanted something different.
So what happens when the prince finds the princess a little too eager to go with him? To the point where she even helps him kidnap her?
