Johnathan Richard
"Not this time."
No secret identities. No hidden or tragic backstory. Not a single thing out of place. Johnathan Richard was the unluckiest man with the luckiest set of circumstances. His powers had been with him for most of his life, even from birth. When he immigrated to America by circumstances outside of his control, the man was not met with false promises and fake hope. He found people who cared for him, friends and family that in time came to accept him as one of their own. It helped him grown and discover more talents than he thought he had. His debt to them would never be repaid. The next best thing he could do was live his life as happily and completely as possible. But there was always that fear of his power being found out, of being dragging into conflicts he wished no part of. While his love to his family much extended to the rest of the world, his wish for a regular life was a dream he would not let go. Johnathan moved away from New York City, from them, and away from the smalltown nearby that he had called his home.
Millennium City was a good place to be in. While it may seem counterproductive to him wanting to hide his powers, considering the number of metahumans, heroes, and villains in the city that cropped up every other week, it was exactly because of that aspect that he chose to make his home. If there ever was trouble, near home or around his family, the cover Millennium City provided of it being any of the hundreds of metahumans or heroes in its ranks that saved the day would be perfect for hiding. And the perfect place for his dog Winston to explore and play in.
Working the part-time at a diner and balancing the work from college meant Johnathan had structure, a schedule, and his education would help him get ready to work in helping the world develop and grow differently than what most people with powers might do. A far-fetched dream, but a far better set of circumstances than anything else he could see or be willing to settle with. No matter what may come his way, John is happy with his friends, family, and Winston, the best friend a person could ever ask for.Johnathan Richard's physiology and anatomy is alien as well as his DNA itself being completely different, only holding certain fundamentals of the human genome as well as various other strange and bizarre changes. While holding a small fraction of human DNA as a foundation for his genetics, which may explain his human appearance, all of his other traits and inner-workings of his biology and microbiology are different and altered, resulting in unique and different organs as well as strange and bizarre muscle tissues and various other organic structures.
Overall, Johnathan Richard appears to have the standard yet highly-powerful set of superpowers. Super-strength. Super-speed. Super-durability. Super-resistance. Super-coordination. Heat vision. X-ray vision. Super-vision. Super-senses. Freeze breathe. The list goes on and on, but overall all of his abilities have been made to be superpowered as well as there being several alterations to his physiology to adjust and alter these powers in a way that would help, protect, and defend others from harm. His alien biology may yet hide other abilities even Johnathan may not be aware of!
Chief of all of his superpowers is the super-physics field that his cells both emit and collect around themselves. Able to bend but not break the realm and laws of physics, this "super-field" Johnathan emits allows him to perform superpowered and super-heroic feats straight out of a comic book. Catch airplanes instead of going straight through them, lift vehicles and structures without breaking or falling apart in his hands, and travel at speeds that should send him aflame or send him hurtling off planet Earth! Most importantly, it allows him to exert his power to help and protect others from the potential backlash of his powers and/or from the dangers of the environment they are in. This ability allows him to amplify his abilities and push his mental and physical capabilities and powers to go beyond what should be possible as well as act as a protective buffer against powers and threats to his well-being.
