I. METAHUMAN FACTORS.
A. WORKING THEORY - DEFLECTION FIELD
While the precise nature of his powers is currently unknown, Ricochet appears to have the ability to surround himself and others in an potent localized energy field. This transparent field is visible only as a slight shimmer which vibrates upon contact with solid matter. True to his name, Ricochet can fling himself at immense speeds through the air and then 'bounce' off of surfaces with incredible speed and precision, becoming something akin to an incredibly durable human pinball. Ricochet has been observed colliding with obstacles at highly incongruent angles and then deflecting with amazing accuracy at breakneck speeds; he barely obeys the laws of physics when he moves.
This ability to bounce off of solid matter affords him an immense natural resilience to harm. He has been observed taking hits from Class-5 striking metahumans only to roll to his feet with little difficulty. Ricochet appears to be able to amplify the kinetic force from when he deflects off of surfaces, enabling him to significantly increase the speed at which he moves and strikes, even from a near-standstill. Furthermore, this proposed deflecting field appears to naturally mitigate what would otherwise be significant damage to the objects he collides with - for instance, he has been observed to crash through a wall while traveling at his ordinary cruising speed, while previously bouncing off a different wall made of identical material while traveling at the same velocity.
Ricochet has not been reached for comment.
