Dr. Alvis Holt could've gotten himself into a lot of trouble for this.
Asking a client- a young, female client at that- to meet him somewhere away from his office after hours? Someone who she relied upon to be honest with his assessments? That was some risky business. Much bolder than what one would expect from the seemingly timid Dr. Holt. But, of course, he had a few advantages working in his favor when it came to matters like this. After all...
...he could and had literally read her mind more than a few times.
A difficult feat for most, but she never resisted when it was time for a session. In all likelihood, he probably knew the devil better than she knew herself. She never knew just how much of her mind he read when he dove in, after all. And apparently, during one of those sessions, the doctor had found something he liked. Or, at least, something that resonated with him on a personal level. Enough so to want to talk about it away from work. Away from his office where the discussions were supposed to be centered around everyone but him. Now, the fact that they'd been meeting at some seedy little bar was probably more than a little suspicious.
But, that wasn't exactly his fault.
Alvis preferred open, isolated areas. As far as Kore was concerned, though... they had more privacy there than they'd ever have found outside. Far too much noise for anyone to hear them speak and all of the lights were directed to far more interesting things than the two of them. Kore came dressed rather casually, just some jeans, sneakers and some dark plaid over a black undershirt; her hair tied up into a ponytail.
She'd join him in a booth at the far edge of the club where people often gathered when they didn't want to be bothered.

"What's going on, Doc? This wouldn't have anything to do with work, would it?"
