So could I say Uppuy is hanging around the bar or doing some sort of task to occupy himself? Thinking of saying he arrived a year or two before the current time in the place, still believing it's an afterlife or such and refusing to leave

Just curious, but can we have or do we need a base description of the inn and its grounds? And I love the trash pandas you threw in the mix ^^
Good question!
Okay, so in the Innkeeper books I've read, the Inn is kinda... mutable. The Innkeeper has absolute power and can change the decor and add rooms or subtract rooms or add walls or move things around. So, I'd say it's really totally flexible, but if you want to describe a particular part of it, by all means feel free to! Your character could easily have asked the Innkeeper for something specific, or there could be weird surprises. I mean, I'm hanging out in the trash heap like a dummy, so I'd say anything goes!
I’m pretty sure it’s just character interaction, at least for the time being. But don’t quote me on that ^_~*
Haha, I quoted you on that.
But yeah, go with character interaction to start with and we can absolutely throw a plot at them once people have met.
I'm going to be posting tomorrow - Thursday is my busiest day so I don't have much time to write, but I'll definitely get something up for this in the morning.
I somewhat want to say that Uppuy is a pacifist due to considering the inn an afterlife (due to appearing there after a wound as well as the keeper's abilities) and has enjoyed a, probably, peaceful life there. Also, would Uppuy need to do something around the inn to earn his keep?
Sounds to me like it’s fairly open to however you wish to play it. Seems the keeper is pretty open so long as peace is relatively kept and the needs of the patrons are met. For the time being, perhaps your character needs to believe he’s in the afterlife until he discovers otherwise, and I think the keeper would see help as sufficient patronage in lieu of monetary forms of payment. That’s my take on it at least
I somewhat want to say somehow, Uppuy has gotten his hands on decent wood for carving, and has pretty much put his work (mostly figurines depicting wildlife native to his homeland) on any available shelf space in the room he stays in.
