The chair, when inspected closely, was empty. There was nothing strapped to the sides, no remnants of any sort of vessel or mechanism that could've contained and deployed the caustic substance. What would be visible, however, was the shape of the damage to the one remaining armrest- it was... hand-shaped. In fact, if it weren't for the obvious chemical discolouration, one could plausibly interpret it to be claw marks. It could just be coincidence, however. After all, there was only one armrest affected in this way- the other had been snapped almost completely off.
Once the dust around the chair was shifted, there wasn't much beneath to be seen- at least, not the bloody mess that might have been expected from a scene like this. Aside from the absence, there were a few things of note. Firstly, there was what seemed to be the melted remains of a small, plastic object, half fused into the wood, surrounded by a deep, black stain. Secondly—and perhaps more pertinently—was the trail. It was hard to notice, and hardly the bloody mess one might expect, but it was there. A series of small holes in the wooden floor, each containing the same bloody residue as before. If followed, the trail would remain consistent as it led to the entrance door, though there was no sign of it in the concrete outside- likely due to heavier foot traffic in that area, compared to the totally sealed interior.
As for the other door, it seemed to be perfectly safe.
