Finally, the proclaimed big man of the Bronx was here.
The symbiote had been right, and now it regarded him the same fashion as it did most enemies, looking for weak points and anything in the environment we could use to our advantage, if a fight were to break out.
Waiting this long for him to show up gave my eyes enough time to rest and heal, and my newly restored orbs could see that he certainly was more dressed up than last time at the Crumplezone. Better shoes too. I hated dress shoes, always so stiff. I guess I preferred shoes that were about as flexible as I am.
I sat along a wall, my feet and back adhering to the surface while the ball to my side with the improvised web shoulder-strap. My two hands rested over my legs as I looked down at Mettle from my perch. I was not usually the one to try and look down on others.
But I had seen what he could do up close and personal, especially with his electromagnetic abilities.
"You tell me. Big coincidence some flashy new thing starts following me after I called you out. Better yet, people got scared when it showed up too. On top of that, it started messing with me and my stuff. Exclusively."
I crossed my arms, one of the lenses narrowing while the other widened slightly. I let the implication sink in a bit further
"That's not a good look for you. And here I thought we were at least cool with each other. I'm just absolutely heartbroken. Devastated, even."
I gestured towards him with a hand.
"Especially when you got some cheap knock-off running around in my suit doing some not very friendly neighborhood stuff. You catch my drift or do I need to say some street lingo to help you understand?"
