Alix kept her aim steady as she provided cover for her partner. She watched as they scrambled back as they realized who they were dealing with and frowned. "HURRY UP!" She kept shooting and ducked down once James made it back with the injured guy. She signals to someone else, "Take care of him!" She pointed towards the injured soldier before addressing James, "There are back doors to all the buildings in this street. It is possible they may try to pull something."
She looks at the building, "The first floor is priority. The second floor next, take the backstairs for the second floor." She nods as James explains the plan. She turns to all the other soldiers, "LISTEN UP! They are backdoors to the building! Anything comes out SHOOT IT! THAT'S AN ORDER!" She nodded to her partner and waited for his signal to go.
“Fucking bullet magnets I knew this shit would happen!” The soldier said as he rushed to the aid to the wounded man. “C’mon Kid stay with me, the agents will take care of these infected freaks.” he said as he held pressure on the wounds. He had been struck three times in the chest. “Rachel, get the med kit out of my pack, stat” the soldier barked orders.
James re-readied his shield. “85% durability, good enough, I'll provide cover, stay close.” James said as he stood up and headed towards the building. Stray bullets pinged off of his shield as the outcasts shot from the building. Each step closer James started to think about what was going on in that building, outcasts like to set up traps in their hideouts, and sharp objects for some weird reason. “When we get in I'll take point, I hope you're good at shooting over people's shoulders.” James said as he unholstered his shotgun and rested it on his shield. It seemed when they got too close the firing stopped, probably getting ready to set up an ambush inside. That or they were getting scared of the sniper fire raining down on them from one of the agents, losing a couple of members. “Ok on go that door is going down, 3… 2… 1… GO!”
Alix nodded at her partner and held her sniper at ready as they got ready to knock the door down. With swift movements, the woman pointed her gun and started shooting at anything that moved while she used the shield from James to push in. She hit her shots fast and precisely. "There is a second floor. Clear the first floor, I will take the second floor!"
The woman used the cover of the shield and furniture to make it to the staircase and work on clearing it get on the second floor.
As james *gently* busted the door down, he was greeted by small arms fire. The bullets impacted the shield but did nothing except vibrate it a little. The sound of Assault rifles was silenced by the thundering shots of Alix's rifle, followed by two downed outcasts in the room, it's amazing what a large caliber round can do. Once the room was clear Alix stated that she would go to the second floor while he cleaned up the first.
"Alright, if you get in trouble call it out." He replied. James stowed away his shield and pulled out his trusty shotgun, it was a bit too cramped to be lugging around a light machine gun in this building. As Alix headed up a floor James began to enter the various rooms, kicking the doors open as he went. it probably was a nice apartment back in it's day but the outcasts made sure to ruin that. One room however was a little rude about it, as he approached the room the outcasts began to shoot through the door before he could kick it. "Ah shit!" He yelled as he hopped back, nearly getting hit by a spray of fire.
"Try your luck agent boy!" A voice called out from the room. Obviously still watching the door for any sign of movement.
"God Dammit what do I do now? James thought to himself as he tried to come up with a plan. ---------------------------------------
Two outcast soldiers waited at the end of the hall on the second floor. Machine gun pointed right at the stair way. "Alright man, as soon as one of those ducks comes into view blast their stupid ass." One whispered as he hid behind a door.
"Hehe yeah, hopefully that bear trap works." The other whispered back.
The woman entered the stairs slowly, keeping her eyes open as she scans the stairwell for any sounds or traps that may lay on the stairs. She twists around the corner and jumps away as something snaps shut in front of her. She steps back quickly and looks to find a bear trap under her feet. "Fucking hell..." She frowns and crouches down to examine the area.
She looks down the window and frowns as she sees shadows under the door. "Amateurs" She grabs the bear trap and moves it away from the door. She huff and she lifts with both of her hands and moves towards the door. "Hopefully this works" She grabs the door handle and opens it before throwing the bear inside quickly and ducking to the side of the door, away from whatever may come her way.
