Mira said nothing as the elevator descended and as the pair exited the building. It was strange being out as the suns rays creeped over everything, slowly warming all it touched like a warm hug. Mira couldn't remember the last time she was out during the day. The day was a safer option and most humans still wandered the Earth during the day, searching for supplies and food. Mira had always had other goals, like catching her father's killer, scraping by with whatever she could find.
Her eyes shifted to the blue stone now attached to her bracelet. She wasn't human anymore. Her life would remain as it was, living in the darkness as the creature she feared for so long, but she had the option now to rest in the sun, bask in it's warmth - if she survived that is.
The pair made their way through the dead streets until they made it to the warehouse, it's structure so different in the early light of day. The place where it all began and possibly the place where it would all end, at least when Saint was concerned. Mira took note of Saint for the first time since the apartment, the way his hair seem to glow golden in the sun as if they were one, the way his skin seem to beg her to touch him, and his eyes. . .always those eyes.
They entered the warehouse, the light streaming in through the high windows, dust particles dancing in the beams. Mira looked around the empty space as she shrugged out of her jacket, tossing it aside. Her throat bobbed, trying to ignore the fact that she was about to be fighting Saint. "So how does this work?" She pushed her braid to the back and stretched her shoulders and back. "Do I just attack you?" A small smirk played on her lips at the thought.
