The letter reads:
High Cleric Johannes,
high priest Sirel has made his decision. Telarin will be given its greatest ultimatum come the day King Elric plans to throw the festival for his beloved daughter. The High Priest himself will attend and ask the King to join with the Cathedral. If he refuses, then the plan is simple- when the high priest spills his drink, your knights are to rush the princess and kill her. The High Priest will make his escape then. Regardless of what happens on this night, thirty thousand men in three armies march on Telarin. His refusal means the city and his nest of nonhuman filth will burn.
Upon reading this letter, burn it and kill the messenger. Tell only who you intend to have carry out the mission. if they tell anyone, kill them and the one they told. Your failure to carry out this task will risk your position, and if your men fail the assignment, I will personally see to the disposal of your wife and daughter before the tree blossoms with more bloated fruit. Do I make myself clear, Johannes?

No rush at all man. Since CZ is gonna wait till it all goes down, and you also have an opportunity to introduce some gnarly characters here, just go buckwild. Only minor details I care about: idk why exactly, but the princess would be cool with silver hair. Idk just a thing 🤷♂️. Do what ever you want for the king and the other characters you want to bring in to the story, but if you interact with the high priest, when you go to voice him think like... "I am the one above all" kinda attitude. Kinda what I want to go with for most of the important Cathedral characters. Sorry if im asking for a bit, just kinda want to flesh a few things out instead of this all being entirely by the seat of our pants lol.

For future, if you guys ever want to add any NPCs that'll be integral to the story or that you plan to use for a bit, (no matter how long we let them live, we took a lot of things on this adventure but the plot armor was left at home), you're good to do it. No limits to anything on characters, just make sure they make sense with how everything is going, and if you plan to do a lot with them, feel free to do a separate post. Just make sure its easy to tell which is what (like color the text different or somethin idk). Just toss a little mini CS we can use for reference. I guess, just at the bottom of it for NPCs that says something like Status: ALIVE for example just so its easier to skip by the ones we killed off already or whatever.
