Name:
Age: for the age, if you plan on playing a human keep the age over 18, preferably. This is not a school life RP, so there is no reason for a 15 year old with a short sword to be running around with us. Alpox and Elves have extended life expectancy, with some Alpox living to be 300, with their old age becoming apparent only close to the 250 year mark, and elves can live upwards of 500 years if they are lucky, but because of lore reasons, if you make an elf, they should not be over 300 years of age. Faelin are nearly immortal, but the oldest one as of now is 300, with the elders dying in the great battle.
Gender:
Race:
Weapon/magic of choice: Preferably, it would be easiest for each of us to choose one type of weapon to stick to, but i will allow 2 or 3 if you absolutely must. Just keep in mind, if you, yourself, cant carry the weight of a double-headed battle axe and a claymore on your back, perhaps your dwarf might have some issues as well. I will allow 2 classes of magic if you choose to be a mage, but if you plan on being a mixed class with magic and a blade of some sort, please only choose one class of magic. The classes for magic are: Fire, Earth, Water, Wind, Light, Dark (its illegal to use dark magic if you're an elf, remember this), Conjuration, and healing. If you have any questions or concerns about this section, ask on the request thread of this Roleplay.
Character Description: keep the description reasonable to the race you have chosen. If you have any glaring issues here, ask about it in the request thread. I would like at least one descriptive paragraph here, but the more details you have, the better. At image is a good frame of reference, but i would like you to refrain from using an image as the sole reference of your appearance, as it is disingenuous to both yourself as a creative writer and to the roleplay as a whole. No over-sexualized images. I'm not opposed to bishoujo elf maidens, but no triple H cups please.
Personality: Of course, this fluctuates as the character develops in the roleplay, but this will give a bit of assistance with how the characters should interact with each other. Remember, the silent edge lord taboo is not allowed here. I expect your character to be a bit interesting at least in terms of the personality here. I don't expect all of us to be happy-go-lucky, but I would at least like the characters to be easy to work with when interactions happen between both themselves and the world around them.
Character's Backstory: Remember, we frown upon the "I watched my village burn down with all my loved ones and now I'm SAD" taboo here. make the backstory at least 2 paragraphs, but dont hold yourself back if you want to write more than that. I love details.
Equipment: This is a rough description of the armor and equipment your character will be using during the roleplay. Of course, you can roleplay changing your equipment out for something else, but this is only to give a frame of reference of what each character will use and be wearing during at the very least the start of the roleplay.
miscellaneous: If you have anything extra to add about your character, no matter what it may be, please put it in this category. This leans more toward the preference of your characters. For example, if you are an Alpox, you could put here that you are wary of Dwarves, and tend to refrain from interacting with them.

Name: Corvinus Vost Age: 31 Gender: Male Race: Human
Weapon/magic of choice: A renowned healer, Corvinus primarily focuses on healing magic as well as alchemy, preferring to heal wounds than inflict them. However should anyone threaten the lives of innocents or seek to harm others, Corvinus is also an accomplished storm mage, able to use lightning and wind to buff him and his allies or blast his enemies away.
Corvinus uses a battlestaff alongside his magic, with a focusing crystal at the tip surrounded by twisted vines of willow. At the base is the blade, able to both cut and thrust, and usually it is covered by a leather sheath to protect it while travelling.
Character Description: Standing just shy of 6ft, Corvinus has short cut, well maintained jet black hair, along with a trimmed beard as well. His eyes are a deep blue with streaks of light blue cutting across them like lightning bolts, that stands out in contrast with his pale skin. Void of any scars or blemishes, he would be considered quite handsome, especially when he smiles, which is often due to his rather cheerful demeanour.
Corvinus often wears garments of brilliant colours, reminders of his old life as a noble. Thick grey trousers are often tucked into his fine, brown leather boots, with a blue and grey jerkin being his favourite thing to wear. In contrast to this however, his white travelling cloak is well worn and tattered, its colour faded over the years to be somewhat muted. All of this is tied together by a belt around his waist, which holds room for a few vials as well as pouches for collecting alchemical ingredients.
Personality: Corvinus appears as a caring, kind, charitable individual, who cares for all wether they be rich or poor. Whenever he arrives at a town, he often will make the rounds from the slums to markets, healing those that need it the most for free and charging for treatment from those who can afford it. Always very polite and courteous, as he was taught to be growing up, he is as conformable in the courts as he is with the lesser folk, always with an easy smile and treats for the children. Corvinus abhors those who would do harm or take a life, but despite this he has also healed fallen foes such as bandits to ensure they live to stand trial, even when that trial would still lead to their death. A fan of music and a song, Corvinus also sings and plays the lyre, as well as reading books on magical theory.
Character's Backstory: Born as the eldest son to a minor lord of Lothern, Corvinus was groomed to take his fathers place one day in court, ruling over their holdings and taking care of the family. As such he was raised with respect, dignity and courtesy to prepare him for life in court, the never ending game. When he reached his teens he was educated in stewardship on how to handle their holdings and in combat, and when it was discovered that he had magical potential, a tutor was also brought in to teach him how to hone his magical energy, who taught him how to channel it into the power of wind and storms.
One day, when browsing the markets with his mother, younger brother and a few of their household guards, Corvinus met a alchemists daughter, about the same age as him. The two struck up a friendly chat, until spotted by his mother who ushered him away. Still the two would continue to meet in secret, him sneaking away from his father's manor and over the wall to speak with her in the dead of night. By time his 18th birthday approached, the two were already deeply in love with one another, and when his father told him it was time to start looking for a bride, Corvinus put forward his Bella. Naturally, his father rejected the proposal, claiming that only a marriage with another noble would provide a powerful alliance for when he took his place in court. For months the two of them argued back and forth, and on the eve of his 18th birthday, Corvinus fled from the castle, leaving only a note to explain where he had gone. Meeting up with Bella, the two eloped to a small village where they were wed by a travelling priest, and the two set up a small apothecary with Bella handling the alchemy, teaching him when they had the time, while he gathered the ingredients in the surrounding forests and hills. It was a simple life, one that he would have been happy to enjoy for the rest of his days, but fate wouldn't be so kind.
Barely three years into their marriage, Bella would come down with a strange illness that kept her weak and bedridden with a fever, coughing up blood. Corvinus himself tried to get her a healer, but those who came had no cure for her illness, and he was so desperate he reached out to his father and mother to send their own physician however he never reached there in time. Bella would pass on a day before he could arrive, leaving Corvinus mad with grief. For a further three days he stayed by her side, barely eating and drinking, sending away all well wishers as well as the physician who suggested he return home. Burying her alongside the river they would stroll along, in the shade of a willow tree, of which he took a branch to fashion into a staff, before gathering a few personal possessions and leaving that part of his life behind.
Still wallowing in grief, Corvinus walked the land before being taken in by a kindly old priest who looked after him and provided comfort in his dark days. Taking him to a monastery, Corvinus found peace in watching the priests and priestesses heal those who looked to be on the verge of death, and soon pledged to join as well. For five years he learned the art of healing, such a dedicated student that soon he was able to treat wounds and diseases even the priests couldn't. However before he was ordained as a member of the clergy, he was thrown out for heretical practises, involving attempts to bring the dead back to life through dark magics. Still Corvinus had found purpose there, and although not a priest, he travelled to as many places as he could, providing healing and comfort to those who needed it, like he had. Yet behind his cheerful smiles and polite demeanour, was a darkness still festering inside him, as he seeks to cure the one disease that inflicts all men. Death.
Now with trouble on the horizon in Telarin, Corvinus has decided to make his way over to the city to heal those in need, as well as continue to expand his horizons.
Equipment: Corvinus equipment is primarily his battlestaff as well as his described clothing. He carries clean clothing in his pack, as well as a morter and pestle for grinding up ingredients, and a number of vials and containers that are in his pack and belt. He also has a lyre, that he will often play when he has the time, as well as a diary into which he notes down any new ingredients as well as any experiments he has. Around his neck is a silver locket, an heirloom of his Bella.
Miscellaneous: Corvinus believes all races, good or evil, deserved to be healed and saved, as well as believing a peaceful solution should be tried before anything else. A seeker of arcane knowledge, Corvinus believes that all magic serves a purpose, and does not discriminate against dark magic and indeed believes believes key to curing death lies somewhere in between the Dark and Holy. He also has a particular disdain against those against magic, and those who would seek to harm others.
Weapon/magic of choice: he carries a unique bastard sword. The blade resembles a long triangle rather than a typical straight blade, it's handled slightly longer than one would think. And it's guard thin yet wide as if they could be used as handles themselves. William lacks the ability to use magic, he doesn't like the idea of relying on magic to take care of problems believing it gets you in more trouble than out of it.
Character Description: William is a healthy man, he's fit, he's of fair height, red hair, medium weight and he looks like… well he looks a little messed up the left side of his face isn't just scarred it's torn and healed awfully. He has large gashes over the left eye leaving it to barely open so it's practically useless. The markings end somewhere at the chin at one point it was clear that you could see through the cheek but thankfully it's covered up now.
His armor and clothes were given to him by those who he has worked for. His armor is a rough yet thick armor, ugly yet effective. The under cloth however is bright and vibrant much like he is.
Personality: William is a bright and charismatic fellow who really just wants to make the lives of others just a little better. While mose would be rather upset about having half their face torn off he not only accepts it but embraces it as a means to get people to focus on something other than their predicament. William is a hard worker, something valuable in his line and he seeks to always complete orders as long as they aren't depraved or inhumane.
Character's Backstory: William grew up on a farm in the west hills of Northern. He and his did what average children do, though he was fortunate enough to receive an education from a local military recruitment center. He sought that to join the king's army and become a holy knight would be his future and he trained as hard as he could to see it happen, sadly it didn't quite turn out. His mother died when he was a teenager and his father in a drunken fit broke a wine bottle over Williams head giving him the scar and blinding his left eye. He then ran away from home to join the king's army but was turned down due to being partly blind. Many places didn't want him, many people rejected him for his facial features and it all looked downhill.
That was until he found out he could fight, even more so people were afraid of his unsightly looks and that's when he discovered his true calling as a swordsman for hire. He would throw people out of ins for being unruly. He would perform courier runs and small quests and he slowly began building a reputation for himself. And now he sits one of the most requests swordsman for hire this side of the dark woods.
Equipment: he has steel armor that has its own charm to it. A small kite shield, a rope, a small bag he keeps with him for storage. And most importantly, flash paper. Flash paper is great for it ignites if it's introduced to large heat or sudden force, making it the perfect substitute for a beginners pyromancy flame spell.

Name: Alta Zoren
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Weapon/magic of choice: Alta uses a long sword, which he uses both one and two handed. He Occasionally pairs it with a wooden and steel roundshield, but it is mostly kept on his back, as his parry skills can carry him far in a one on one fight. He is not the most killed swordsman, but he is confident in the skills that are present. He also has some form of hand at archery, but his skills with the sword are far superior, and only uses a bow to hunt when he is camping between towns.
Character Description: Alta stands at 5 foot 9. He has a fairly average build, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He has a younger face, but it always carries a stern and unmoving look, as a form of professionalism. The sides and back of his head are shaven bald, but the top of his head keeps shoulder length hair, which he usually keeps tied back. His has a thick, tight-cropped beard, and a tattoo of celtic bands on the sides and back of his head. He has a very straight and rigid posture, and carries himself not in a way of pride, but preparedness, as if ready for something to happen at any occasion.
Personality: Alta is a man who believes in respect. He is very friendly to other warriors and keeps to his own personal code of honor when it comes to interacting with other swordsmen. He distastes interacting with peasants and citizens, for he feels that he shares nothing in common with the commonwealth. He has no love for those of noble birth, and shies away from them for the most part. He also shares this distaste for religious types, for he feels that their judgement is clouded by zealotry.
Character's Backstory: Alta grew up in a small farming village on an archipelago in the far western reaches of Lothern. He helped around his family farm, and had an apprenticeship as a blacksmith when he became of age. When he grew to be a young man, after a few years of working for the blacksmith, me moved to a small town to joined the army of the local lord. His time in the army taught him the discipline and honor he still carries with him to this day, but after a loss during a raid on a village, he decided to leave the army and head inland to the grass sea. His spent most of his time wandering the land. occasionally taking jobs through the adventurer's guild but mostly traveling. His regrets lie in the dealings of his home in the archipelago, for his time there has shown them how corrupt lords could really be, and wishes to one day return to help his people rebel against them. For now though, he travels and trains, enjoying life as it comes by to him.
Equipment: Alta's armor is leather, covered by a simple tunic and breeches, as well as casual shoes. He has a round-shield made of steel and wood with the coat of arms of his home region painted on it- a red background with a silver raven in the foreground. The shield has straps on it, though with his bag on, he keeps it strapped on his left arm. The bag holds basic camping supplies (tinder, bedroll, cooking tools) and extra food and water, as well as a small knife to help with skinning animals and filleting fish. His steel longsword is attached at the hip when worn, and the scabbard of it has an extra pouch that hold a whetstone.
miscellaneous: Alta has a small wooden flute that he keeps with him. He knows how to play it a bit, but rarely plays for others. He also has a wooden pipe and a small bag of tobacco leaves he enjoys from time to time.

We will be starting in a city, but a city has many environments to it. We have 3 people, So below, I will give 3 choices for as to where the RP will start in the city.
A dense, open air market.
a storefront area in a canal district.
A park area during a local festival.
After you make your choices, I will act either as a tie-breaker or use the one you two pick together, and get the RP started up. Sorry for the delay!

While market sounds like it could be a bit more easy to flow with, a festival sounds like fun, too. I'll get it all typed up and started. If it's not up in the next few hours then itll be up later. its almost 4 am for me lol.
