Shirt Bio: Adams life was never a pleasant one. His father was a drug dealer who felt he was more important than anyone else. Because of this fact he would do whatever he wanted to anyone he wanted to do it to. On top of this fact, or maybe because of it, his father was an alcoholic, an abuser, a womanizer, and an all together controlling son of a...well you get the idea. Things might've been different for Adam if his father had been in jail but he always seemed to be able to get off by some technicality. So this meant that the man was free to make his families life a living hell.
His mother, while once a sweet and kind woman, had grown used to the situation and seemed to even believe that she deserved it whenever her husband would lash out at her turning her into a very shy and timid woman. She tried to make Adam the same way that she had become and when he was younger it seemed to be working but eventually Adams emotions turned from fear and quietness into bitter resentment and rage for both of his parents. He hated everything about his father but he also hated his mothers acceptance of the situation. This would cause everything to come to a boil in just a few years.
One night whenever Adam was thirteen his father came home in a drunk rage. The man's product hadn't been selling as well lately and his enemies had been moving in on his area so he decided to do what he always did. He went home and started to beat his wife. But his anger was out of control and he ended up killing her right in front of Adam. This made the man angrier since he couldn't get any satisfaction out of beating a dead body and that's when he noticed Adam and decided he would beat on him next. He would never get the chance to do so that night, or ever again.
Adam had a while back started to carry a knife in order to feel like he had some sort of defense in his home but he hadn't ever really known if he could use it until that day. As he father approached him he slashed at the man with the knife cutting him across his chest. For a split second his father's expression changed from rage to surprise to fear and then back to rage but that look of fear and the sight of his father's blood had been all Adam had needed. Something inside him seemed to snap and then it was like all his emotions and his ability to feel simply vanished. It was at this time he began to stab his father over and over again continuing to do so even after the man was dead.
A few hours later the police arrived and found Adam sitting in a corner still covered in his father's blood and clinging to the knife as if it's was all that was keeping him alive. Somebody had heard the horrible screams and called it in which was the only reason they had found Adam as quickly as they did. It was decided that he had killed his father in self defense and so he was sent to live with his grandmother on his moms side since he had no other family and was given regular scheduled meetings with a psychiatrist.
It's been four years since that happened and Adam still doesn't seem any better. He constantly gets into fights, which is actually how he found and gathered the other members in his gang "The Kings", and he still seems to be unable to reconnect with his emotions and feelings. Maybe that could change one day if he found the right person, but that seems unlikely since most people are terrified of him and do their best to stay away from him. But the possibility still remains and who knows maybe one day he just will met the person who can help him find that lost part of himself and help him become a normal person once again.
Likes: He likes knives and often carries several with him at a time. He also likes fire and can usually be seen messing with his zippo. Aside from those two things he only otherwise likes his grandmother, cooking although only his aforementioned grandmother knows that, hard rock, and fighting.
Dislikes: He hates cowards, people who try to tell him what he should and shouldn't do, spiders although he'd never admit it, soap operas, his psychiatrist, bad food which means pretty much anything from the school, people who remind him too much of his father, and Meis stalker even though when it comes to him Dom sees him as more of a pest that needs to be taken care of for good rather than anything to really worry about or to focus on.

Full Name: Mai Ina Summers
Age: 16
Short Bio: Mai grew up in a good and caring household in the countryside. She went to school everyday and played with her friends and made good grades. Her mother divorced her father when she was very young, so she didn't remember her much. It wasn't until she turned 13 when her father got a really promising job in a small city, in another state. It wasn't anything like Mai was used to, but over the years, she adapted to the crazy, busy lifestyle of the bustling city. When she turned 15, she got a job as a waitress at a small, Italian resteraunt called "Pizzano's." She is now a junior in highschool and is about to have the struggle of her life.
Likes: Cats, painting, singing, reading, history (loves anything Egyptian), writing, playing videogames, cheesecake, the color blue, and rainy/snowy days.
Dislikes: Spiders, the color pink, math, fighting, bullies, perverts, feeling helpless, being lied to, and large bodies of water (she cannot swim).
Appearance: Mei stands at a height of 5'7 and she is rather skinny, weighing at 123 pounds. Her light brown hair is short, curling up a bit around her shoulders, and she usually wears a small, white pin to keep her bangs out of her face. Her eyes are a darker, milk chocolate brown, and rather large in size. Her school uniform usually consists of a white button-up shirt, a thin black bow is tied around the collar of the shirt, over the shirt is a pale yellow cardigan, and around her waist, ending around her lower thighs, is a dark green skirt. She usually wears knee length or middle calf length white socks and a black pair of shoes.

° After Mai & Adam have been "dating" for a while, Adam's employers decide to throw a big party or shindig for whatever reason, maybe they use it as an excuse to finally meet Adam's little lady, and they have to dress up and everything.
° Wolves' gang member, Randall, wants Mai to himself and that could possibly start a turf war.
° As they spend more time together, hopefully Adam opens up a little more and shows more emotion towards Mai, and Mai becomes more confident in herself and maybe even gets some badass vibes from Adam.

Sooo, ideas for for their first date; Where do you think they should go? The movies? A play? Just eat out for dinner? Paintball? The park?
Maybe after they've gotten closer, Adam takes her to a special place only Adam knows about?
Also, wouldn't it be cute if a couple of days where they weren't together, they just randomly ran into eschother? OMG- What if during the summer, Mai went out with her friends to the beach and she steps out of the public change room with her bathing suit on and Adam just so happens to walk by at the same time. Neither of them knew they'd even be there and so they're both surprised and almost everyone k n o w s about Adam and his little lady. I already know what Mai is gonna do if we do decide to add this in the main story. XD

So, first off, I couldn't remember if Mai was supposed to have glasses or not. I know the original picture you had used did have her with glasses. But I don't remember her ever being described with them. So I was kinda curious about that.
As far as a date goes I'm not sure what would be a good choice. Honestly Mai is so reserved that I'm just not sure what would be enjoyable to her. Whereas Adam has had to learn to deal with so many things that he's more used to finding ways to either blow off steam or to just get he's mind off of any difficulties that he knows he wouldn't be able to deal with at the time. So while he doesn't really ever have any fun he has some pretty intensely physical things that he does to distract himself. There are also a few things that would be really surprising to hear about him doing, but those are definitely things that he wouldn't want her to know about until he was more comfortable with the idea of really letting her get close to him.
I have a couple of ideas about where he could take her that either very few people, or else nobody, know anything about.
I was thinking it would be interesting if they happened to run into each other unexpected as well. But honestly cute wasn't the direction that I was leaning towards. I was thinking that it would be interesting if Mai and her family ended up up going off to do something. It could be going to the beach, or camping, or wherever. But they could be doing it because either distant relatives, or old family friends, who had been seen for a long time happened to be visiting and so Mais mom could've wanted to do something fun. Well while that was going on Adam could've had something that he had to take care of as well. The two of them end up seeing each other and maybe Mai wants Adam to meet everyone and to hand out with them. Because no one there would know him, or anything about him and his reputation. They wouldn't exactly be near the others but they would be close enough that they would be able to see the people that she was there with. Adam looks at the gathering of happy people who are having fun together and he tells her he doesn't think it's a good idea for him to join them. The people wouldn't have met Adam, obviously, but Mais mom, and maybe a couple others of your choice, did see her talking to him and so they start asking her about him but she's able to get them to eventually leave her alone about it. Now, this is where it gets a bit messed up. Later own when he's dealing with whatever situation he's there to take care of Mais mom could happen to see him and she ends up seeing at least part of whatever the situation is. Now the situation would probably be pretty bad in general, but she'd only see enough to get the bad impression from him. Adam could notice Mais mom watching the situation but because of the matter at hand he wouldn't be able to speak to her or to try to do anything that could fix the situation. This of course could lead into all different kinds of difficulties between Mai and her mom, her mom and Adam, and depending on what the situation was possibly even Mai and Adam themselves. Obviously the idea needs some more work still but I was curious what you thought of the idea. I also find it funny that we both had come up with sort of similar situations. We could always try to do both of them. We'd just have to figure out which order to do them in and how exactly to handle them. Because they both seem like the could be fun in their own ways.

Oh, you're right!! Maybe I had originally thought about her wearing glasses and ended up changing my mind? WAIT WHAT IF SHE ENDS UP HAVING TO GET GLASSES ANd gets super self conscious about how they look on her? I'll have to figure that out. XD
Oh my GOSH YES! I love that idea. I was literally thinking how things would go if her mom and Adam met. Her mom can be really scary, too. I still have to flesh out her character, though. But just imagine having this sweet, little thing like Mai and then you look over at her mom and she's like 5 ft 8 with somemuscles, long curly hair, and looks like she's about to cut anyone who even looks in her direction. 🤣 And dude, great minds think alike. > : )

Well the reason I was asking about if she was supposed to be wearing glasses or not is because I wanted to show you some pictures for how my mind had always shown Mai to me.
So for instance. I always saw her like this.
But she would be dressed more like this. I figured that she wore loose-fitting clothes which made he seem even slimmer than she actually was.
I also figured that if she was supposed to wear glasses. Then we could just retcon that fact into the story by just adding a few posts where she fusses with her glasses, and maybe a few where he pushes her glasses back into place after they get messed up or have him put them on her when they get knocked off or something along those lines. Because I thought the glasses could sort of be like a symbol of her shyness. Like since she doesn't think very highly about herself or her looks she might think the glasses would make her look nerdier and maybe people would ignore her more because of that. But after being with Adam some she starts to get a better opinion of herself and so she decides to get contacts as well as possibly changing up the way she dresses to show how much her confidence has grown. But like I said that would be later on.
This is how I kinda think Adam is seeing Mai right now. She's pure, innocent, all around ignorant of the world, and just a sweet and happy sort of person.
On the other hand whenever he's lost in his own mind thinking about her then he sees her more like this.
Once she was to start coming out of her shell and was to switch to contacts, if we were to go with that route, and was willing to start wearing clothes that she's more standing out in. Then I sort of saw her with this type of personality showing through with how she dresses and carries herself when at school.
As for when we were to do the situation where they have to go to the party to met his technical bosses then I thought she could wear something similar to this.
So, speaking of the get-together I think it should be done after she's started to come out of her shell and has more confidence in herself. Also like we said before I think the turf war type situation should happen after the get-together/party/what have you ends up happening.
Also, for clarification, the second, fifth, and sixth images were mainly picked for her clothing and attitude and not so much for the physical appearance. As I said before the images are going off of my own perception of the character as she appears in my head. So I'm not trying to take away from your vision of the character or how you intended her or how you see her. So I hope that's ok.
Lastly, this is kinda how I see her looking if we're able to keep this going long enough for them to have grown up and fot her to have matured into the woman she's going to be.
As for the mom. It's really funny to think about Mai and then to think about her mom being like that. It's great. I'm also glad you liked my idea. What kinds of things were you thinking about having happened for when Adam and Mais mom met?

OH MY GOD THAT'S ALL SPOT ON, ORO!! I'm legit squealing. Just EEEEEEEE! Yesyesyesyesyes! I'm definently gonna add her wearing glasses then, cause we can get so many wholesome moments with themmm! So maybe she wears them while she reads for long periods of time? AND THE OUTFITS ARE JUST- I LOVE THEMMMM! You've got me excited for this rp all over again. Haha. XD
Well, if the bad situation you were talking about has Mai directly involved, like if Mai and Adam were in an argument or she sees Adam tanenbaum her by the arm or something and thinks it's bad, then her mom is probably going to put herself in the middle to protect her baby girl. If it doesn't involve Mai directly, then she might just watch for a little while and then ask Mai about it later/tell Mai her opinion on Adam based on what she saw.

As for how they'll meet, I'm not sure. I do like the idea you had about Mai and her family going out for whatever reason, whether it be vacation or maybe a little family dinner to celebrate someone's birthday. Though, I feel like if they go on vacation, then Mai's mom would take her to another beach far away from where they are living. Like Edisto or something.
Also I'm sorry I always quote your messages, I forget what I read, so I end up quoting them to make sure I cover all the topics. I just keep forgetting to delete the quoted text. :")

Alsoooo omg that last photo is exactly how I imagined her looking when she's fully grown. Watch her turn into that special sort of badass thanks to Adam. 😭 I can't believe we both actually managed to think about them growing up! Again, great minds think alike. Hehe 🤣 Oh oh oh! This makes me wanna talk about what they'll do when they graduate from highschool. Are they gonna go to the same college? Oop- maybe I should wait to ask these questions when we cross that bridge. Lmao

Here's a thought: Mai getting so angry at Adam that they're just yelling back and forth at eachother and they either end up apologizing or doing a smoochy-smooch. Idunno what would really make Mai pissed off at Adam, though- Maybe her friend, Emma, has some bad run in with someone who's a new member of the Kings Gang, so she blames the whole ordeal happening because of Adam? And like he probably reminds her that their current situation is because of Mai and that she said she would control her friend and keep her from snooping and whatnot. Adam would get to see her just get so pissed for the first time and I just imagine Emma being like, "Oh no- Mai's pissed. She never raises her voice..!" Maybe Mai actually manages to hit Adam because she's so upset and that's another thing she never does.
Also, I'm thinking about bringing in another oc of mine who might've been one of Adam's lover at some point and maybe they just decided that they were better in a platonic relationship- or maybe she even sees him as a brother of sorts? That is, if you want. If not, I completely understand. I might make her be one of Mai's other best friends and she ends up being gone for a long time because she was in the Juvenile Detention/School and when she gets back, she finds out about everything that's happened and is just as overprotective of Mai as Emma is. Omg I can already imagine her just stomping to the weight room, slamming to door open, and taking Adam by the collar and being like "Who the hell are you thinking you can just take Mai like some little slave, you bastard? You aren't even worthy of her affection! She's too good for you!"
Alsoo Alsoooo, I'm gonna work on drawing sketches of Mai so you'll have another idea on how she looks.
Alsooooo Alsooooooo Alsoooooooo, I finally managed to get some Wendy's and for the hell of it, I got a chocolate frosty. XD

I'm glad that I was able to have the right idea about her when I was picturing her. I was worried that my mind might have been going in the wrong direction with a few things. So that's a relief. I thought the glasses could add something to the story so I'm glad we can agree on that. I know when I was younger I was supposed to wear glasses of I was reading, watching TV or movies, or if I was doing book work for school. So those are all areas that you could possibly have her needing to wear them. I'm glad that the outfits I choose worked out as well. Honestly, it took me a while to find the images mainly because I couldn't find outfits that I thought fit with what I had in my head. I'm glad that my post was able to get you excited for the rp again. That's great.
Mai wasn't going to be involved in the bad situation. Actually the situation, and what it was about, are going to depend on what's going on in the story at the time it happens. I've got a few ideas about things that will end up taking place later in the rp. A number of these situations would require Adam taking some drastic actions. Do what I was thinking was more along the lines of Mai and the people she's with going to a restaurant. Then either when they had just arrived and we're heading in, or possibly part way through their meal, Mais mom was going to have to go back to her car. It it's when they first get there then maybe she left something in the car, or realized she was carrying something she meant to leave in the car. If it's part way through the meal then obviously it would be she forgot something in the car. Either way Mais mom would be at the car by herself. She would then notice Adam walking into an alley. She'd realize he was the guy her daughter had been talking to and so put of curiosity she'd go to follow him. Once she got to where she could see down the alley then she'd end up seeing Adam arguing with another guy. Adam would have the guy held up against one of the walls of the alley and, depending on the situation that had caused this to occur, he could be doing anything from occasionally punching the guy in the gut to holding a knife to his throat threatening to kill him if the guy didn't give him the information that Adam wanted. I figure she'd watch for a little bit but wouldn't wait long to get out of there because she wouldn't want to be noticed and possibly be dragged into the situation as well.
I wasn't meaning it had to be a vacation per se. I figured it would just be a spur of the moment sort of outing simply because of the visiting family/friends. Because I didn't want it to be some planned out vacation simply because of the possibility that her mom might be the type of character who would want to go off on some more distant trip for that kind of situation. Because if that was the case I simply don't see any reason that Adam would end up in the same area. In fact with everything going on for him he probably wouldn't be willing to go to far from home at all. At least not until he was finally away from all the problems with the crime bosses.
Don't worry about quoting my messages. Like I said in our pm I copy everything and use it as a guide for my responses as well. Otherwise I'd probably have no idea what I was trying to say in my responses. In fact if it wasn't for the simple fact that I delete things as I go then my messages would probably look really weird and would be really annoying. Because at least yours are surrounded by a quote box. Mine wouldn't be.
I think it's really interesting that we both had the same idea of how she would look as a grown-up. I just had this feeling like her being with Adam would bring out this more hard edged, confidant, self-empowered woman who knew who she was, what she wanted, and how to get it. Something about this story just keeps making me think about stuff that will happen further down the road. So I had to look for a mature version of Mai while I was looking for everything else for her images. As far as for what they'll do in the future I had some questions about that pop up in my head as well. Like originally I'd been going off the idea that they just lived in a regular world like our own. But for a while now I've been wondering if that was actually the case. I started considering what would happen in the future if their world wasn't necessarily as vanilla as our own. Because if that was the case then just what other kinds of problems and situations might they end up dealing with and getting into in the future. But we can discuss that more when you think it makes more sense to do so.
Personally, I think if they got into an argument that they'd be more likely to make out than to end up apologizing to each other. Especially with how Adam acts. I also don't think Adam would bring anybody new into the Kings. Personally, I think that with how he wants to get out of everything he'd probably be more interested in trying to end the Kings once he's free of his debt and possibly turning the area that was his turf into some kind of safe zone away from all the major criminal problems in the area. But as for a reason as to why Mai would possibly get mad at Adam and start to fight with him goes. That could be related to Emma just like you said. It's possible that Mai keeping secrets from Emma could be a real strain on their friendship. Which could cause the girls to start having fights. Because Emma feels betrayed that Mai won't tell her what's going on and why she seems to keep willing spending so much time with Adam. While on the other hand Mai would feel betrayed that her best friend won't trust that she knows what she's doing and won't accept the fact that her not telling her everything that's going on is for a good reason. All of this could lead Mai to getting mad at Adam because "if she could just tell Emma then everything would be ok." But of course then Adam more or less do what you said about reminding her about why they were in the situation, the fact that she had said she'd be able to keep Emma in check, and the fact that while he understands her position it simply wouldn't be safe or a good idea at all for Emma to know the truth about the whole situation at length because they simply can't predict how she would react to the truth about everything. I could see Adam being surprised a bit by how she acts towards him, but he's accept it because of how he thinks about himself, and I could see Mai getting so emotional that she actually smacks Adam, and possibly starts just beating on his chest as she yells at him about everything she's mad about before she just starts to break down crying. This situation could also be after a big fight had happened between the girls so that Emma had decided to follow Mai to where she was meeting Adam. Because maybe Emma had hope that if she confronted Adam herself she could get him to leave Mai alone and then things could go back to normal for her and her friend. But then she'd be able to hear at least most of the conversation if not all of it, and possibly see what happens if she manages to be somewhere she can spy on the two unnoticed. Then because of all this maybe Emma would be able to get more involved with the situation as well because she reacts better to the truth than either Mai or Adam ever thought she would. Or Emma could keep what she had seen and learned secret for a while and just stop giving Mai a hard time until my confronts her as to why she hasn't been bothering her about everything involving Adam lately. Emma could try to avoid answering for a while but Mai wouldn't leave it alone and eventually Emma would just tell the truth about what she'd seen and heard and then she could get involved in the situation at that time. Either way though it could bring her into the situation and make things a little easier for Mai. This way we can do basically everything you talking about without having to bring in some sort of new member of the Kings.
I don't think your new character should've been a past lover of Adams. Because I've got an idea of what to do with his ex girlfriend already, and the only other technical lovers would be the girls and women who were basically owned by the crime lords that he works for. So I don't think that would be to good of an idea. Instead I think it would be interesting if your new character and Adam had been close friends when they were little. Maybe her house had been near to where he had lived with his parents when he was younger and he'd sneak over to her house in order to get away from his dad when he was really messed up on drugs and alcohol, or when his dad was real angry because of things not going the way he wanted them. She could've been one of his few friends that he had back then, because he didn't have many, and then Adam could've pushed her away, just like he did to his ex girlfriend, whenever everything happened at the funeral. Because once again he didn't want to risk potentially causing problems for another person. It could actually be that the girl knew Mai as well but she never talked about Adam because she didn't want to tell anybody about his private issues as a kid because they were friends, and once Adam no longer talked to her she could've kept her past with him as a secret just because she didn't think that it was important that anyone know about her past with him. That way she could know them both. Maybe she ended up getting into trouble herself, for whatever reason, and once she gets back to school she finds out what happens and so she's conflicted about what to do and how to act because of her own past with Adam, but at the same time she's protective and worried about Mai because she could actually see everything about Adam being true because she personally knows about some of the darker situations of his past. I could see her finding a way to confronting Adam when no one else is around. She'd end up doing kind of what you described except that I could see her yelling about how she knew he had changed from the sweet boy that he had been but that what he was doing was a new low even for him, and then she could even possibly say something about how she's really disappointed in him because even after everything he'd done she'd never thought he'd actually end up turning out to be as much of a bastard as his father, and yet as far as she's concerned that's just what he'd done. Because of what he was doing by making Mai go through what he was putting her through. At least how she saw it with what she knew about the situation at the moment. Which I could see Adam sort of snapping and telling her everything, because he had done that in the past so many times, then that could bring her into the situation. Which could make things really interesting. Especially if this was to happen before the situation with Emma learning everything. Because this girl could start defending Mais decision about keeping the truth from Emma, and she could possibly even end up defending Adam from all the insults Emma would likely say about him whenever she was with Mai. So this could end up making the fights between Mai and Emma even worse and make the situation even more complicated.
I can't wait to see the sketches that you make of Mai. I'd love to see just how you picture her in your mind. Especially with how many ways we seemed to have had her pictured the same way already anyways.
Oh my God! That's awesome. 😂 I hope that you enjoyed it.
Anyways, I know that I wrote a whole lot in this post, and that I gave you a lot to consider. So I'm sorry for the long read, and I hope that it wasn't to much stuff for you to deal with at one time. Don't feel like you have to rush with a response. Because I realize just how much all this is to go over. Especially in one go. So just get to responding to this once you have the time and get the chance to do so.
Also, before I forget, your description of Mai and Adam fighting and then ending up kissing made me think of something funny. So here it is...
Yeah, that was a lot to read!! I'm gonna hafta reread through it a couple of times before I answer back properly.
Also OMG yes, dude! Angry Mai is gonna be so much fun to write and I already thought about her smacking him at least once during an argument. Adam would have to do something really bad to upset her to that point, though. XD

I figured you have to read it a few times. So no worries. Just take your time and get to it when you can.
Him having to get her pretty mad for her to smack him makes sense. And I'm sure it will be just as much fun to read Angry Mai as it will be to write it.
