Cybil was working in the diner she had been an employee at for a couple of months already. She had no memories of her time before then, being told that she had been in an accident and had amnesia. She also had to take daily medications due to the headaches she would get if she didn't. It was all fine, though. The place seemed nice and she was relatively content. There was something about the quiet homeyness that was both was nice, and a bit eerie. She didn't know what it was, but something made her uneasy sometimes. She placed food down at a table before heading for the back.
The loud roar of a motorcycle's engine quieted to a pur as the vehicle came to a halt by the sidewalk. The man who'd driven it into the small, remote town wore a brown leather jacket with tan fur lining the ends of the sleeves and around the collar that covered his neck, a grey-blue under armour brand T-shirt that fit his upper body quite nicely, and a pair of dark blue-gray pants, which had very many pockets lining the legs. He also had a black belt with a few pouches that held his pants in place, a pair of dark tennis shoes, and a pair of black, fingerless gloves. His skin was rather pale, his dirty blonde hair was parted to the side, much like one of those guys who was part of a boyband, and his narrowed, cool blue hues were hidden behind a pair of dark brown sunglasses. He had a scab on his left cheek from a cut a few centimeters below the sunglasses.
Leon Scott Kennedy had heard that one of his c lose friends, Claire Redfield, had gone missing for a couple of months four days after he'd finished his assignment in Europe and he'd been looking for her ever since. That had been half a month ago. So now, here the agent was, in another town that didn't show up on any maps, looking for her. Hunnigan had informed him of the location and how there had been reports of sightings of the younger Redfield there. His hidden gaze flicked down to the photograph of a woman walking down the sidewalk, her back aimed towards the camera. She had the same physical profile as Claire. Folding the photograph in half, he stuffed it in his back pocket and gazed up at the little diner he'd parked close to.
The blonde ignored the looks he received as he lifted a hand to remove the sunglasses from the bridge of his nose, and he swung his leg over the leather seat of the motorcycle once he'd turned it off. Slipping the sunglasses into his inner coat pocket, he blinked, swirled the keys around his forefinger, and stuffed them in his outer coat pocket while he walked down the sidewalk. His steps made a soft clopping sound against the pavement as he moved and Leon took in the new surroundings. Anytime he was in some sort of city, he always thought about the horror he and Claire had to face back in Raccoon. It always put him on edge. He just hoped that if Claire really was in the uncharted town, then hopefully she'd be safe. Though, it was Claire he was worried about- she could easily take care of herself if trouble found her.
His lips pressed into a thin line as he gripped the glass door's long handle and pulled it open, the sudden movement caused the little bell above it to ring, signaling someone had entered. An older woman, the hostess, greeted him with a warm smile, one he briefly returned, and showed him to a table close to the window. As he sat down, she gave him a menu and he thanked her before he scanned over the writing. It was time for lunch, it appeared. Just in case, Kennedy checked his watch. Yeah, definetly time for lunch and he hadn't eaten since the day before he got on his flight. The mixed smells made his stomach tighten and his mouth water.
Yeah, I'm pretty hungry, but I really need to find Claire. He turned his attention to outside and furrowed his eyebrows as he became lost in his thoughts. She could be anywhere in this town...

The town seemed to be pretty normal, a light fog starting to roll in shortly after he had arrived. The people in the diner looked towards him a little when he entered. It seemed they didn't get many visitors, if any. They turned their attention to what they were previously doing after a moment. The place was relatively quiet and calm. "Cybil!" The hostess called out towards the back, "Ya got another one!"
"On my way!" a voice called back, a voice all too familiar to Leon. A moment later, a woman came out of the back with a tray of coffee and a plate, wearing the diner's uniform of a short blue dress and white apron. She had auburn hair pulled up in a ponytail, and blue eyes that almost matched her dress. She moved over to a table, setting down a cup of coffee and a plate of food.
The man at the booth scowled at her, glaring at her. "You took too long!" he nearly screeched, his voice like nails on chalkboard, "It's all cold!"
Cybil rolled her eyes, "No, it's not. It just came out of the kitchen. You do this every time, Mr Ashford. It's fine..." she started to turn away from the table, only to have her arm grabbed. "Hey..!"
"Don't you dare talk back to me!" He had a hold on her arm. "Do you know who I am?!"
A red haired man had gotten up from another booth, going over, "Yo, Alfred, lay off!" He snapped, shoving him away from her.
Alfred scowled and seemingly from a look from the hostess, he settled down, grumbling angrily and starting to eat.
Cybil looked to the one who came to her aid. "Thanks, Steve..."
"No Probs babe, it's what a knight in shining armor does." He grinned.
She rolled her eyes with a chuckle. "You're missing the armor and horse."
He shrugged. "Do I get a kiss on the cheek at least?"
"Maybe next time."
"Aw man..." He grumbled and went back to his seat to finish his own food.
Cybil sighed and went over to the table with the newcomer, "Sorry about all that, what can... I get for you..." she stared at him a moment. He was familiar, way too familiar. And this feeling she had.. maybe he just was too cute..
Leon would never forget what that voice sounded like, all lighthearted and a little sassy at the same time…
The agent turned his head and the slightly confused expression soon morphed into one of slight shock. His eyes locked onto the redhead’s form, didn’t move off her the entire time she moved about the diner. The confusion returned shortly after and his blonde brows furrowed once more. She was working as a waitress..? Why I’m earth would Claire work as a waitress? Was she doing it to see if there was anything going on with Umbrella-? Going under cover was Leon’s job, not hers.
Leon’s gaze flicked over towards the blonde customer with a screechy high pitched tone, already hating the sound of it, and his expression because more serious when he saw the other man grab Claire’s arm. His lips pressed into a frown as an overprotectiveness came over him. He had protected and helped Claire a lot over the years from various zombies and BOWs. Kicking some rude customer’s ass wouldn’t be any different.
He had his eyes set on both of them, placed his hands down on the counter, and started to push himself to his feet when someone else intervened. His muscles relaxed when he watched the man come to her rescue and he slowly sat down, keeping his eyes on the two while they spoke, expression softening a little. However, Leon wouldn’t outwardly admit that he was disappointed he hadn’t been able to help Claire out of that little jam. Not to mention the more interest he showed when the guy called himself Claire’s knight in shining armor. A scoff and a roll of his eyes later, the blonde looked out the window again with his chin on top of his fist. He still listened to their conversation, though.
The customer who grabbed her was named “Mr. Ashford” and her so called Knight was “Steve.” He kept a mental note of those names, trying to figure out why they sounded familiar. Leon really didn’t like the pet name he called Claire and he felt jealous jab at his core, making a grumpy frown form. His expression soured the more they spoke. He better not get a kiss. Leon thought to himself with a hint of a scowl. It was honestly none of his business who Claire dated and he really shouldn’t be feeling jealousy. He looked at them out of the corner of his eyes, not even hiding the hint of a grin when Claire refused. So, they weren’t dating.
He waited patiently as she walked towards him, deciding not to just rush up to her in case Claire really was under cover for whatever reason. He turned some to look at her, one of his brows slightly furrowing when it seemed like she was liking at some stranger. “I don’t really know what I want.” Leon admitted with a slight shrug. He blinked and glanced down at the menu before looking back up at her, “…Is there a reason why you’re here? What made you want to be a waitress of all things?”

Cybil watched the newcomer a moment, then to his menu when he said he didn't know what he wanted. She was a bit caught off guard when he asked her why she was there, and what made her want to be a waitress. Maybe it was just small talk? "I'm here because, well, I live here.... as for being a waitress? I work here because I guess I worked here before my accident." she shrugged lightly. "Not much in the way of jobs in this town anyways, and there's really only one or two trouble customers I get, so it's pretty laid back even in a lunch rush. Then again... you're the first non-local I've seen... what brings you to Silent Hill? Or are you just passing through?"
