Quetz nodded, taking his turn to introduce himself only as silence naturally allowed. "I'm Quetzalcoatl. I do what I can to help out where I'm able. Also I have a fun Youtube channel. I'm just glad to see so many people around here that are excited to help out and use their abilities for those who need it the most. I mean, yeah, ok so some of the meetings weren't as awesome as some of the other meetings, and their knowledge of mythology and how it might tie into meta human existence was a little--short--but it's a great start!"
It was a great start. So many people here from all over the world. He'd heard of the Norse gods but never actually met one before. Looking at this person, he wasn't sure if they were the real deal or just named after one. A lot of people named their kids after mythological figures or a hero might take on the mantle to sound more impressive. Not everyone with a god's name was actually a god. If she was a Norse goddess though, it probably didn't do to go around calling her the goddess of sex and violence. He wouldn't want to be known as "the god of stealing bones and cutting himself in weird places to re-create Humanity after the fall of the fourth sun" for example.
He'd rather be known as the guy who opposed human sacrifice.

It seemed he spoke less to Vasia before him than he did to himself, or perhaps to whatever gods had created him in their idle moments. For Vasia's part, she was to consider the timing of things against the many ticks of the world's clock, and wonder in the intervals between them why it was he found so much fear in speaking his truths. Each statement was negated, each one couched in cautious words.
Perhaps he thought himself among the oracles, that he should need to say so many words in the hopes that some of them might become true. Vasia was not patient, but she strove to listen nonetheless, for sometimes even from the words of madmen a gleam of truth could be captured. Eventually, the palaver-speaker came around to fate, as did all things.
He misjudged her, as did many. In this case it was not to be fatal, merely resultant in a shrug, gesture-loquacious rather than verbiose. "All heroes have a fate. It is part of what makes them extraordinary. The wisest understand that their fate is preordained, but do not seek to find it out. Fate will happen, one way or another. It is best to proceed as one would, and not worry overmuch."
Her fate, at this moment, would be to retreat from this conversation ere she became further entangled in its vagaries. "It has been an interesting meeting, Kosuke. Perhaps a fated one. For now, I must retreat. I have commitments in the morning that I must attend to. Be well - and do not let your fate trouble you overmuch, whatever it may be."
"Ah, there's that heroes thing again..." He said, almost a mutter, "I mean, are we all heroes? Like- that comes with some assumption of goodness, and that can't be true for all of th-"
His voice trailed off.
"Right."
Kosuke smiled.
"Well, it's been nice talking to you- fated, I guess. Yeah, maybe. I, uh- I'll see you again some... time..."
She left before he could finish the thought.
Kosuke rocked back on his feet again, lightly snapping his finger as she passed. Disappointed, it seemed. Or... embarrassed, if such a man could be embarrassed. He took another fake-sip of his wine, and turned back to the rest of the room, smiling loosely. The tide had flowed against him, again. He was in, and now he was out once more.
Strangely, he didn't seem all that bothered by this.

She chuckled as Ellie recognized her namesake, simplifying it a bit perhaps. An eyebrow was raised at what could have been a pickup line, had the girl not kept running and stumbled into a response to her question, her mouth and mind clearly running at a mile a minute. Either Ellie was a big fan of caffeine or high energy was just a constant for her.

She sent a smile Ellie’s way.

Freyja turned her attention briefly to the lizard-like figure with Ellie, who introduced himself as Quetzalcoatl. He was a curious figure, his upbeat personality conflicting with his somewhat monstrous physicality. Still, she acknowledged his presence, albeit without the same enthusiasm as she did Ellie. A chuckle escaped at her pointed comment towards the event organizers, She had some fire in her.

Could be useful to try yourself against a target who can actually take it and dish it back out. I have no particular affinity for electricity, but I can probably take you for a bit.”
If someone had asked the answer would have been both. Ellie was often very high energy, she was lightning in a human sized bottle. Not only was she usually energetic but her body moved faster. That meant everything took longer and while she had gotten used to it, that didn't completely override the urge rush to the next thing once able. However having all that energy meant it could feel like she was burning it all faster. Sleep was nice but wasn't always a surefire answer. She could "plug in" but it turned out a prolonged way to electrocute ones self wasn't a device really around. With sleep being okay and electrocution optimal but not always optional caffeine and electrolytes were a girl's best friend.
At any rate she blinked a few times, three or four to most it likely looked like one or two. Her head space pausing to consider an answer. "I mean to an extent. I uh got preference. But fighting usually is separate." Roughhousing could be fun but she didn't mix the fun of one of those with the other fun of punching. And maybe that was all way to much information. However the event had been boring, the woman before her was pretty and well she was prone to ramble anyway. She didn't want to abandon her lizard buddy though either. Shouldn't leave someone hanging. She wasn't sure she was into scales but she did want to work with the guy.
Check her phone. Make sure she gave all the following she could. Shot a message with her contact info as well. She was lightning if heroism needed back up or he just wanted to hang out she could be there in a flash. "I'd uh love that. You good to go or need to change?" Seemed the nice thing to do, Ellie was among the very few in uniform. Although she kind of wanted someone to just risk the dress. They weren't here for costume changes and fancy clothes it should have been heroism. Getting some training in was among the few things about this event to sound promising to her.
