Taking stairs two at a time Mai swung herself up and into the bridge. The metal on the edges of the fancy new sunroof hung sharp like the teeth of a hungry beast, but as far as she could tell there didn’t seem to be any injuries outside of minor burns. Mai greeted the huddled civilians with a smile, it helped people be at ease after a traumatic event to feel like things were well in hand. Which, things mostly were! The boat wasn’t activally sinking anymore!
“You’ve all done well, but I’m going to need your help getting us all back home, okay?” She spoke in a clear easy tone, her gaze looking between the gathered faces. “Anyone with medical training I want you to tend to the wounded, try to figure out what order the paramedics need to help people once they arrive.”
Mai turned her attention towards people who were wearing crew uniforms, which seemed her best shot for anyone who knew how to sail a ship. ”If anyone here knows how to sail I’m going to need your help running this boat aground.” Some of the crew members exchanged glances, and Mai held her smile. “We have it plugged but the pirate with the fishbowl left us with a nasty hole in the middle of the ship, so the sooner we can beach this lug the sooner we can get everyone home safe. You with me?”
A pale looking man nodded, and Mai winked. “Now that’s the spirit! Everyone else, if you aren’t helping the wounded, please find somewhere safe.” Her gaze again moved between the gathered faces before she nodded. “Alright, let’s get home together, everyone!”
Once this was squared away she’d have to see about getting the two girls back to wherever it was they needed to go. Maybe figure out if her dress was salvageable after that, she was scared to even check. Best to focus on one disaster at a time.
