HISTORY The twentieth century showed a rise in exonormal, anomalous, and supernatural cases world wide. Specialized groups found themselves handling an increasing amount of cases with little reinforcements and rest. The failings of man in comparison to a standard exonormal were apparent. With the growing number of obstacles and situations, specialized groups needed additional support across the board. It was during this time that the foundation was set for a new military project: The Bloodhounds.
Inspired by figures like Contrail and Aristotle, the Bloodhounds were created to test the very boundaries of the baseline man. The Special Projects Group's minimum standards to be considered for a slot are on the same level of those required by modern special operation groups. Once a pool of soldiers are selected, the requirements are gradually raised. The training process is as mentally challenging as it is physically as recruits study a broad number of topics, become familiar with basic and specialized equipment, and are exposed to mental strengthening techniques to help grow their willpower. By the end of it, many from the initial pool of candidates fall out from the program. This result is unsurprising considering the BLOODHOUNDS project was designed to create soldiers who could match the efficiency of unpowered heroes and supersoldiers.
The Bloodhounds were first activated during the initial stages of the conflict Vietnam war, where they joined Task Force X in sabotaging operations in North Vietnam and southern China, as well as in the elimination of exonormal spies and combatants.
After the successes in Vietnam, the Bloodhounds were pulled out of the country following the U.S' announcement to withdraw. The authorization to allocate greater funding and resources came in 1989 following a successful joint operation with the Vatican's Knights Templar. The next larger operation saw the Bloodhounds deployed to Bosnia during Operation Homebound, tasked to help anomaly-containment group Omicron 11 send a dimension-shifting nuclear explosive back to its original dimension. During the operation, an unknown group attacked the containment site, with Bloodhound forces quickly overwhelmed by the sudden and larger opposing force. Their survival was attributed to the arrival of a Green Beret team that were operating in the area. The mission was considered a failure after the enemy secured the anomaly and extracted after dealing a heavy amount of casualties to both groups. The whereabouts of the anomaly are still unknown.

PURPOSE The Bloodhounds were designed to execute to perform total of twelve primary mission types: direct action, unconventional warfare, foreign internal defense, security force assistance, counter-insurgency, exonormal termination, anomaly containment, special reconnaissance, counter-terrorism, supernatural investigations, information operations, and counterproliferation of weapons of mass destruction. These are not their end-all-be-all doctrines as they can be and have already been tasked with performing other mission types such as search-and-destroy, manhunting, and high-profile hostage rescue.
Their high-risk, high-tempo nature coupled with their incredibly candidate selection process naturally makes this group a smaller fighting force. Even with their smaller numbers however, the intense training of a soldier's physical attributes and mental faculties makes them a highly lethal group. Each soldier is expected to keep a physicality that allows them to perform operations against or alongside exonormal individuals. The emphasis on wide variety education and retention produces a highly knowledgeable and competent soldier capable of utilizing various different weapon systems, equipment, and vehicles. Bloodhound members are expected to supplement their required training with their own regimens to better fit their needs and shortcomings, further increasing individual lethality and group efficiency.

Growing up, there wasn't very much that challenged Kieran.
Born to a family full of CEOs and consultants, money was of very little issue for him from the start. Childhood days were filled with hanging out with other kids from the private school he was in, studying, and eventually, learning the "family trade" when he got old enough. Between his parents, his father was by far the more caring of the two. For starters, his dad actually made an attempt to bond with Kieran when he was a kid. His mother was good at setting him up with tutors.
Like most, he was not a particularly idle child. His abnormal ability to multitask made it easy to juggle his academics, social life, club meets, and personal hobbies. He enjoyed learning and challenging himself with new and exciting things. It's why he decided to try and be a hero.

Cordial, collected, arrogant. Kieran displays any combination of the three depending entirely on the type of day...and persona. No matter what though, one could always expect the young Maxwell to exude an unwavering aura of self-assurement.
Kieran stands at about 5’10 if he were to stand up straight, hovering right around average. Consistent exercise, strict dieting, supplements, and fortuitous genetics have rewarded Maxwell with a respectable physique. His clothing more often than not consists of higher-end clothing, his hair always well-groomed, both fair hints at his sense of vanity. He lacks any tattoos or scarring on his body, the former from his disdain for needless bodily identification and the latter from the lack of injuries he’s ever sustained.

Though barely an adult in the world, Maxwell can easily be considered one of the world’s brightest minds.
Seven months after being born, he had learned how to form semi-coherent words and had taken his first steps. By age four, he was already understanding the basics of high-school level education. At age five? He was ready for college.
Maxwell’s mind has been opened to levels infinite in scope. He is capable of recalling any moment or memory in his life in perfect clarity, being able to remember every exact stimulation to his senses that he may have felt at the time. Enhancements in thought processes and hand-eye coordination give Maxwell a greater amount of dexterity, reflexes, and mental reasoning. New languages, concepts, theories, and off-hand knowledge can all be understood as easily as the other, this extending to even skills. An important thing to note is that his ability to study and attempt to perform a skill does not mean he can ignore the physical requirement that they may have. Simply learning how to punch like Muhammad Ali punches doesn't he can punch with the same strength of Muhammad Ali.
This supernatural mind he possesses gives him a natural resistance to mental influences of any origin. Attempts to restrict his intelligence will be met with complete failure, though they do give him symptoms of mental feedback and absent mindedness. Both these aspects of his mind are not yet confirmed, though the former was a subject he once speculated during an idle day-dreaming session in the middle of class.

Kieran's standard field equipment is an array he's designed himself, built with the purpose of being able to seamlessly blend in with a normal civilian crowd and changing into an outfit that'll protect his identity from any curious minds. The outfit's shining two traits are its versatility and general survivability. With how random the threats in this world are, it'd do Kieran no good to simply build armor that could stop bullets or that could let him survive the vacuum of space. In today's world, he has to be ready for anything.
Made up out of nanotechnology, his standard armor is incredibly quick to form. It boasts a respectable amount of durability, being able to fend off extended conventional gunfire to Kieran's vital areas. The helmet is just as durable and was built with a range of features such as night vision, thermal vision, electromagnetic vision, radio communication, and the neurological functioning between him and his gear, among other things. His shoes come with built-in anti-gravity technology, allowing him flight, propulsion a possibility even without the assistance of his standard array.
To better defend against high-functioning speedsters or unseen threats, Kieran employs a defense matrix dubbed the “Polyphemus System”. The device itself is no bigger than a ring owing to the fact that it is a ring. A thin layer of intricate metal shields the robust microcell batteries underneath from both sight and damage, with fiber optics serving to protect it against EMPs. Miniature sensors actively search the five meter area around Kieran, only activating upon detecting an attack that could moderately maim him or outright kill him. Once activated, the ring will immediately get to work, producing a force field over every part of his body. This field is capable of reducing even the most lethal of blows to nothing, protecting Kieran from high-powered punches, bullets, explosions, and even lasers.
Of course, there are limitations to the Polyphemus System. First and foremost, it is not intended to protect other people. The force field around Kieran hovers an inch above his body along with any items he’s holding. The final limit on this system is that it’s essentially a time use. With how much power it takes to both detect, respond, and defend against even the strongest of attacks in the universe, the ring essentially fries itself after a single use.
The percentage of survivability is greatly diminished by the lack of weaponry. This was the train of thought Kieran had when finishing his standard outfit off. Full-sized blaster pistols become attached to his hips, each capable of two different modes: lethal and nonlethal. The lethal setting of his blasters fire off Star Wars-esq energy beams, their damage being able to change or mix between piercing, burning, and concussive forces. The nonlethal setting causes the blasters to fire beams filled with electrons, strong enough to cause involuntary, intense spasms as well as temporary unconsciousness.
Bracelets around Kieran's wrists turn into miniature gauntlets capable of peppering opponents with small pellets of energy, each more akin to a rubber ball than a burning pellet of condensed energy. It does not take a genius to know these were made as a way of hurting an opponent rather than killing. Truth be told, these bracelets were made more with the intention of serving as a catalyst to the machinations Kieran may find himself needing during a mission, being able to fire entrapment nets, grappling hooks, adhesive, and so on and so on.

• On December 18th, 1992, ODA-343 was given a Priority One task to lend their immediate assistance to Bloodhounds' Echelon 11 who came under fire from SVR Spetsnaz forces during OPERATION HOMEBOUND, in which Echelon 11 was tasked with securing a high-yield nuclear device capable of dimension shifting. Previous intelligence knew the Spetsnaz were operating in the area, but the initial number suggested they were only composed of around 60 soldiers. This intel proved to be faulty (later uncovered as the counterespionage efforts of Spetsnaz Operative: BALUAR) as a force of 146 revealed itself, inflicting 12 casualties to Echelon 11. ODA-343 arrived an hour into the engagement and assisted in holding the enemy off for another hour before the situation was deemed FUBAR and an order to withdraw was given. Ray Greene was noted for covering the retreat with fellow ODA-343 member, SSGT Ramirez, for thirty minutes before Ramirez was rendered unconscious from an enemy grenade. Greene, who was wounded from the grenade's shrapnel, managed to pull Ramirez out of the combat zone, being struck with several 7.62 rounds in the process. He was found by members of Echelon 11 who assisted him in carrying Ramirez to their fighting position. Greene is noted to have attempted to turn and move back into the combat zone but collapsed from his wounds soon after. Of the 36 Bloodhound operatives and 12 ODA-343 members, 23 were killed and 5 were wounded. OPERATION HOMEBOUND was classified as a failure as the SVR forces were successful in securing the anomaly. The whereabouts of the anomaly are still unknown.
• Greene was deemed a potential Initiate due to his actions in Bosnia and given the opportunity to be inducted into the Bloodhounds. He accepted and was later placed into the BLOODHOUNDS ASSESSMENT AND SELECTION course after recovering from his injuries.
• Completed all phases of the HOUND program on March 24, 2001.
• Deployed into Afghanistan on November 29th, 2001 during OPERATION RED EARTH. Earned the moniker "CRIMSON FOX".

Greene proved to be among the top operators within the unit's history. His mental resiliency and commitment to the mission bordered the line between exceptional and superhuman, as shown by the minimal amount of relaxation he took between missions. Though Bloodhounds are mandated to improve on their own weaknesses, they are still given a minimum time block to relax. Greene often forewent his periods of recuperation to instead continue his own training. The impact this had on his psyche was shown to be non-existent as he was capable of performing at peak cognitive efficiency with minimal relaxation.
Greene's aptitudes are the combined sum of natural talent, fortunate upbringing, and countless hours of hard work. His early discipline is the result of a family history deeply rooted in the military lifestyle, both American and Mexican from his father and mother's sides of the family respectfully. His natural combat potential was honed since childhood as he was enrolled into kickboxing at a young age and went on to become a high school state champion in wrestling. This was further supplemented by a regular access to firearms as his father owned a shooting range in El Paso that Greene often went to.
In regards to squad cohesion, Echelon-11 ran effectively. Greene's subordinates had a great trust in him, a large part due to the amount of preparation and measures he took to ensure that not only did the mission get completed to the best of their abilities, but that every operative was alive by the end of it. His efforts to do so stem from his first exposure to the BLOODHOUNDS during OPERATION HOMEBOUND which saw not only the loss of several unit operatives but his former special forces team as well.
Following the end of his contract, Greene's decision to return to civilian life was surprising on account of his absolute loyalty to the unit. Direct questioning as to the reason concluded that he did so in hopes of pursuing a life with his wife and two kids. Psychological analysis suggests Greene was honest in his reasoning, though his choice to become a contracted-operative less than a year later suggests otherwise.
[attr="style","font-size:110%;color:lightgrey;"]After his contract ended, Greene returned to the civilian life for a little over six months. During this time he was employed a security consultant for JIANGSHI ROBOTICS before suddenly resigning from the job and going dark.
Since then, he's officially taken on work as a private military contractor. Domestically, he's been employed by several larger named agencies such as the FBI, CIA, NSA, and HOMELAND SECURITY. Non-domestically, his largest and most consistent employer is the GCA (Global Contracting Agency). Job wise, Greene has taken up contracts and bounties that parallel the missions he took while within the BLOODHOUNDS such as the containment of anomalies, supernatural investigations, and elimination of exonormal targets.

He's been observed to move on from seeing several of his closest allies die during an engagement without suffering any moment of shock or hesitation nor does he seem to suffer any long-term psychological trauma as a result. While this improves his effectiveness as a leader, this significantly reduces the prime tactics employed by the Silver Hand in keeping covert operatives in-check. Should his new occupation as a mercenary ever have him going against the interests of the U.S, targeting his close friends and family is unlikely to be an as-effective tactic.

To him, TTRPGs were a pleasant bridge between mathematics, story telling, and social activity. The last point in particular felt important. In Millennium City, the chance of coming across a metahuman was much higher than it was anywhere else. When he saw All Stage Clear was having a DnD night, he saw an opportunity to network.
He also saw a night where he could just enjoy himself.
He entered the arcade with the confidence of someone who belonged. Behind him was a floating tray that had a folder with several sets of dice, various printed out character sheets, blank and pre-generated, pencils, and a manual for DnD 5e.
There were some familiar faces in the group and some new ones. He gave them all a friendly smile and nod.

Although he spoke genuinely, there was something to the man himself that would have set off Kore’s sin sense, if he hadn't already.

On a planet full of extraordinary people, Ray Greene considers himself a regular man among many. By all accounts, he is anything but.
During his time as an SOF operative and a mercenary working under all sorts of clandestine groups, he’s dealt with metahuman, supernatural, and anomalous missions all the same. There wasn’t some mutant gene in him that gave him the edge he needed or magical talent, everything he’s done he’s accomplished with just three things: a strong will, a sharp mind, and the right equipment.
Over the years, his collection of equipment can only be described as considerable. Most of it consists of gear he’s bought from the black market, but some of it’s also been gifted to him by his old unit, employers, or…acquired by other means.
Greene doesn’t entirely rely on just what he can find either. By employing a few trusted contacts, he’s able to commission unique weapons, armor, or other miscellaneous pieces of equipment, or modify existing gear.

SECTION Nº2: METAHUMAN ABILITY ASSESSMENT
I. PRIMARY FACTORS.
A. POST HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY
Prior records during his service and initial examination confirm Johnson’s physical abilities are all POST HUMAN, mostly in part from his experiments during PROJECT LYCEUM. He can outperform PEAK HUMANS without much difficulty and has shown capable of operating after sustaining injuries that would kill an unenhanced individual. He can operate and fight at full efficiency for days on end, having done so during his deployments with SFOD-D.
B. ENHANCED MENTAL CAPABILITY
Johnson's mental attributes are blatantly abnormal and appear to stem from his birth rather than PROJECT LYCEUM. He is able to remember every moment in his life with absolute clarity which has allowed him to pick up on new skills and languages instantly. His reaction time and senses are at a level impossible for unenhanced individuals to reach. Supplemental training during his service has dulled Johnson’s susceptibility to sensory hazards and stimulants, though not completely.
II. SUPPLEMENTAL FACTORS.
A. ACCELERATED HEALING
Johnson has the ability to heal back from any injury no matter how lethal. The time it takes for him to heal is entirely dependent on the wound severity as smaller cuts and bruises have been shown to fade within seconds while fractured bones or ruptured organs have healed within a couple of minutes.

A. OCCUPATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Served in the U.S Military for ten years, first entering through a direct pipeline to SFG as an 18C Special Forces Engineer Sergeant. After his first tour, he was selected as a candidate for PROJECT LYCEUM and inducted into SFOD-D following positive results of the experiment.
Johnson was green lit as a potential candidate early in the agency’s inception. This is due to his favorable psyche analysis and positive opinion of “superheroes”. Though he accepted the offer, he didn’t join until the end of his deployment. After a month of rest and recovery, he entered MIRA Initial Training and Assessment before placement in the Mid-Atlantic region as a Tech Specialist, receiving additional Firearms & Self Defense training as a result.
II. SUPPLEMENTAL SPECIALIZATIONS.
A. MIRA ADAPTIVE-RISK INCIDENT TRAINING
Johnson has received proper training on operating without his healing factor and apprehending or taking down a BRICK classified target. He has also been granted specialized PSYOPS training to resist TELEPATHS and similar anomalies, as per request. Results of this training have proven more favorable than expected on account of Johnson’s abnormal levels of willpower and previous training under SFG and SFOD-D.

Owen McCormack has received proper training and licensing for operation of the Incidental Metahuman Account System, or IMAS, at a clearance level of THREAT RED, STAKE 9 and below.

I. PRIMARY EQUIPMENT.[1]
A. GRYMM ARMOR SYSTEM
A triple layered, full body armor system designed to be durable against most forms of conventional damage while sacrificing minimal levels of flexibility and agility. A “seal” option exists within the armor system, allowing the user to engage a self-contained oxygen supply. The innermost layer is a bodysuit that helps regulate temperature and guards against skin-based toxins.
The helmet is styled after a half skull and obscures the user’s identity. It hosts different systems inside such as radio communicators, night vision, thermal vision, sensory dampeners, and an air filter.
B. SCYTHE ENERGY RIFLE
The Scythe Energy Rifle is a weapon capable of firing highly-concentrated beams of energy. At its standard setting, it is capable of burning through conventional armor and organic matter while avoiding overpenetration. Its non-lethal option allows the user to stun a target with the equivalent force of a standard issue taser, with the level of intensity able to be similarly adjusted.
C. THE HOURGLASS, HANDGUN
The Hourglass is a handgun chambered in 10mm with hollow point variants as standard. He has recently added the armor piercing, explosive, and shredder ammo variants to his standard kit.
C. PALE HORSEMAN, COLLAPSIBLE SWORD
The Pale Horseman is a collapsible sword designed to engage suspects in CQC or during stealth missions. Nanotechnology stored within the handle forms into a blade with a length of 24 inches, reduced to 20 if the user chooses to form a hilt guard as well.
D. CHRIS REEVE GREEN BERET KNIFE
In the event of a total weapons loss or combat with a metahuman who can influence advanced technology, Johnson carries a conventional knife. It has a fixed blade with length of 7 inches and weighs 12.8 grams as a whole.
II. SUPPLEMENTAL EQUIPMENT.[1]
A. GRAPNEL GUN
Johnson carries a handgun styled grappling hook launcher capable of firing and attaching to surfaces up to 50m away. The disengage mechanism detracts the grapnel and automatically reels in the line, allowing for quick and continuous usage.
B. NON-LETHAL EXPLOSIVE DEVICES
Johnson carries four flash grenades, two tear gas grenades, and two smoke grenades.
C. HANDCUFFS, MAGNETIC AND NANO-TECH
Johnson carries two sets of magnetic handcuffs designed to restrain suspects with PEAK HUMAN strength. He carries five nano-tech capsules that can form into two sets of conventional styled metal handcuffs. In case of an emergency, these capsules can also replace the nano-tech storage of his Collapsible Sword.
D. MULTI TOOL
A custom multi tool that comes with pliers, wire cutters, serrated blade, crimper, lock picks, cutting hook, bolt override tool, laser cutter, and hammer.
E. MEDICAL KIT[2]
A compact medical kit that comes with medical PPE, trauma and airway management supplies, and two ABO blood bags.
